I have the White Sox 2005 World Series Monopoly game, and the USAopoly sets are worth it if you actually play Monopoly a few times a year. It takes a few games to get used to the "new" names/properties, which breaks up the monotony a bit.
Based on the baseball sets (and baseball teams have roughly twice as many roster spots), "Baltic" and "Mediterranean" Avenues are probably guys that never even suited up for the Spurs last year. The purple and gray properties are always temporary call ups, injured players, spot starters, etc. in the World Series sets.
