DId any of you see the editorial in the SA EP a week ago, "The Greediest Generation"? The editorial was about the property tax freeze for the elderly, but I think the le applies to all of the US. We all want the benefits from public education to Medicare, and we want our tax cuts at the same time, from the Child Tax Credit to the property tax freeze. The Edgewood School Board probably has its problems, but at least they have the guts to make tough decisions to address their financial problem and inform the public.
In the midst of this, Hook Dem wants to add fuel to the fire by cutting his school taxes to zero. I'm sure that would solve Edgewood's problems.
As for you Duff, it would be better for the rest of us if you would delay your plans until you reach ocial Security/Medicare age, i.e., as long as you are paying more taxes than you are receiving in benefits.

edgewood needs to get it's together. bottomline. and those parents deserve answers. but everyone needs to think about what's best for the kids regarding safety and education. "i don't want my kids taking the bus" is unacceptable. 3 million dollars short of forcasts is unacceptable as well. what went wrong there? explain please.
