Being able to bench press doesn't really give that much of a picture regarding whether someone is strong or not. I'm not sure Duncan can bench 200 pounds, but like whottt said, he's pretty damn strong. Rarely do you see him muscled out of whatever position he wants.

As far as bench press, you usually have to look at the players with the shorter arms to find the ones who can bench press the most. Vaughn is a pretty good candidate. Bonner, while tall doesn't have that long of arms, so he could be up there. Beno has the body type to be good at bench press, but we all know about his work ethic.

Parker is another player, like Duncan, who is stronger than he looks. Although Parker isn't one to enjoy lifting weights, so I'd assume his bench press suffers.

who cares what you can bench.
It's like assuming the boxer that can bench the most, is a better fighter.

If we're talking former Spurs it's Avery Johnson, without a doubt.

I think Duncan can bench well over 200lbs. I'm not saying he can bench the most, but com'on, 200lbs. I maxed out 190lbs my Sophmore year of H.S. I have long, dangly arms too. 200lbs isn't that much. Unless your name is Shawn Bradley.

Look at Tim Duncan's weight. It's around 240-250, isn't it? He should be able to bench close to his own weight.

Alltime would have to be Kevin Willis, I remember hearing he could bench an insane amount, something around 400 plus. He did not have the long arms of a David robinson or TD so that would have helped him tremoundsly with his Bench

I think I remember one year that he could bench the most in the NBA.

I'm calling BS on that one. If not from you, then whoever originally said that. Little Gen was a strong little guy, but not 500lb bencher.

AJ could never bench 500, that's three times his body weight.
