But wait, wait, I thought David Stern told us it was just "one rogue criminal"

You would have to be blind or a complete *purs honk to not be able to tell mulitple officials have been outright fixing games for many years. And the league is involved at a much higher level, this is the NBA's Watergate.

By the way, told ya so.
So you're admitting LA shouldn't have won those three les with Shaq and Kobe?

Wouldn't be suprised if "David Stern" was in on it. Why else would he go through such lengths to defend his refs. Fine Isiah Thomas and JVG exhorbitant amounts for statements against his refs for supposedly impugning the reputation of the referees. Wouldn't that be a story if Stern had Mafia connections of his own?

My sister's boyfriend's cousin's best friend said it was 200 refs, and that Ferris passed out at 31 Flavors last night.

I think most fans are confusing gambler's/mob interests influencing games to win specific bets---- over/under, point shaving-------- with the NBA fixing games or entire series in favor of a particular team- i.e. Lakers, Spurs. This is kind of two separate issues.

The NBA would have to be the dumbest ing organization on the face of the planet if they have refs left and right betting on games they are working in influencing the outcomes and nobody knew a thing. So what now every ref in the league could not wait when they got hired to put their job and freedom on the line by engaging in criminal activity.

Suns fans will contend that every ref named reffed key suns games over the last ten years and demand an asterick after every championship in the last decade. Phoenix lawyers will sue for visitation rights to 2007 Larry O Brien Trophy.

Well, good. maybe now they can get rid of some of the old f*cksticks that have been around 50 years and think they are bigger than the actual game being played.

Come on -- you can't really expect reading AND comprehension when spweing pure vitriol remains a viable option.

Seriously now. Is anyone gonna be shocked to learn that some NBA refs like to sneak into a casino from time to time? I know I won't be. I'd be willing to bet that 30-50% of officials in all the major sports have participated in some form of illegal gambling at some point.

Since the NBA had the all-star game in Las Vegas, and there are slot machines at the gates in the airport, I don't see how the NBA has a lot of credibility on that issue. Donaghy's probably going to expose a bunch of refs gambling during a round of golf or something lame. He's a bag who's trying to save his ass. He'll offer his kids up next.

Uhhhh, does anybody remember the Great Ref Lockout of 1995?

Yeah, let's bring in some replacement officials again.

    Good Times(TM).

I've always known that the league fixes games in the Lakers favor. Hopefully the truth will come out.

You would think that for as long as Donaghy was a referee he'd know the names of more than 20 refs.

The NBA has over 20 refs? LMAO
Because there are 30 teams, the league has to have 45 refs at a minimum.

Maybe they're simulating the first round on Stump the Schwab.
