I play for the Alamo City Dart Players Assoc., the season is fairly long -- we started in mid-January and ended in July, two week layoff before playoffs. There are weeks off for like Fiesta, 4th of July, etc.

You can either join an existing team (they are all sponsored by bars) or find a bar and get them to sponsor a new team that you will captain. Be warned, though -- most of the bars we play at are total dives, including our humble little hole in the wall. The women are scary (for most part) and the men are perverts. But it is always great fun.
