my original post stated that i hated the yankees even more, i've retracted that and only hate the yankees as much as I used to. the real blame is on New Era and their willingness to do anything to make a buck
I didn't realize we were still living in the 80's. Bloods and Crips?![]()
Now if New Era were making a hat with Ms-13 on it I'd understand where you are coming from.

actually im here in an office and i just proposed this question to 10 others, and they had no clue.and seriously, you're the only one that doesnt know about the colors of bloods and crips
Can't say I've ever sought out the info.
oh god don't talk down to me...oh god..... tpark, let me slow things down for you
So the white guy that works in the popcorn stand here at the fair that uses the red bandana is a gangster?the crips have been using the blue bandana to mark their affiliation since the inception of the gang.. bloods have used the red bandana to mark theirs. It's just always been.
Better keep my eyes peeled.
You obviously didn't understand what I meant about things Gangs adopt.
New Era is currently working on Ms-13 themed ball caps.. only they dont realize it.
yeah because the company Youd start woudl NEVER do ANYTHING to make money...the real blame is on New Era and their willingness to do anything to make a buck
MS 13s sounds like an experimental drug from Merk. Now if New Era were making a hat with Ms-13 on it I'd understand where you are coming from.
you're obviously not getting the point of the article. there was such outrage over the caps that new era pulled them from the shelves. the majority sees my side of the coin. I dont know who you asked at your work but i imagine if you asked a few circus animals then they probably would look at you with a clueless expression
i wouldnt pretend something i was doing wasn't wrong when i knew damn good and well that it was.
I only made the comment about the bloods/crips being 80's because for two years I worked all over downtown Los Angeles (where the bloods/crips were born) delivering blood for Red Cross to every hospital in the ghetto and not once can I recall seeing a blood or crips.
Yup, more stupid jokes.I dont know who you asked at your work but i imagine if you asked a few circus animals then they probably would look at you with a clueless expression
uh huh..i wouldnt pretend something i was doing wasn't wrong when i knew damn good and well that it was
I knew about bloods and crips too.I only made the comment about the bloods/crips being 80's because for two years I worked all over downtown Los Angeles (where the bloods/crips were born) delivering blood for Red Cross and not once can I recall seeing a blood or crips.
I just didn't realize that there was certain things you can't make for clothes, that it would be demonstrated against.
yeah i'm not familiar with their current day prevalence, but if you're talking about the most popular gangs in united states history, the first two that come to mind are bloods and crips
yeah, that was uncalled for, sorry
but this much is true. plus New Era is already successful enough without having to put out this grabage
No offense, but baseball and anything similar to it is a boring ass sport.
you got that straight e20
No offense but comics are for kids.
? See how that works?
I dunno.but this much is true. plus New Era is already successful enough without having to put out this grabage
My point is, where is the line drawn?
I mean, stopping production of certain things because "gangs wear them"
Couldn't you do that to alot of stuff?
My point is, once you go down the road like that, where is the line drawn, thats all.
I'm not offended at all.![]()
totally went over your head.I'm not offended at all
i think the line starts and stops with those colored bandanas. it's sad because it's such an innocent thing. But those colors have become synonomous with bloods and crips, not just the colors but those bandanas. New Era knew it, that is the only demographic they deal with, either they intended on playing the "we didnt know" card or they didnt think the general public would mind. There is really nothing else that could be contrued as gang related that could be put on a ball cap except for those 2 or 3 things. i'll even let them slide with the Latin Kings logo. but those two bandanas are so obvious its sickening.
what? i hate baseball
Then you probably don't know what you are looking for
Just kidding.
They probably don't hang in downtown L.A. - they are in South Central.
So Joseph Abbot, who makes high end suits, and the inside of the suits have the color red with paisleys, are designing suits for the high end cripp or blood?i think the line starts and stops with those colored bandanas. it's sad because it's such an innocent thing. But those colors have become synonomous with bloods and crips, not just the colors but those bandanas. I finally got to see a picture of those caps.
Flat out targeting gangstas.
New Era has been making these types of hats for years, why make a fuss about it now? Honestly it isn't even that big of an issue. Its the equivalent of arguing about blue and red rags being sold still.
