I do that with those .99 special they have at some places. It's silly b/c you can get a bacon cheese jalapeno burger for .99, yet a plain hamburger might me $1.99. So I'll order hte .99 special, but ask for them to 86 the bacon, cheese and jalapeno.

Last night for the first time ever I got a really rude counterperson. She gets on the squawk box and asks for my order. Then in the middle of my order she butts in and asks if I can hold on for a sec. I said okay. 3 minutes went by and I finally yelled out LLOOO in to the box. She then says "could you PLEASE hold on?" with the emphasis on Please. I was shocked and I called her on it. She denied it so I asked for the manager. She got on and said her employee was being very nice and that I can't tell emotion over a speaker. I told her the spoken word is exactly what you judge emotions on, the internet is where you can't hear emotion. Stupid Byatch I just got my food and left. They probably spit on it.

My friends say, "No thanks. All I would like is a chicken sandwich."

Although most of us realize it is their job to try to upsell, there is no need to push the issue when the customer clearly states that is all he/she wants. I could understand 1 try for an upsell, but after that its just annoying and ridiculous.

I had a series of problems with Jack in the Box, they even messed up the order they were trying to replace. I ordered 3 combo meals one of which was missing my hashbrown. So I go back already pissed off and I decided to order additional cheese sticks. I get the bag back through the drive thru and they only gave me the cheese sticks. I stayed there for a second and told the guy "are you ing kidding me?? Where the is the hashbrown I came back for??" He tried to appologize and I told him to give me my money back and they did. I declined the additional cheese sticks as well. I was furious.

I used to work at the movie theater, you'd have to say when selling concessions:

"Would you like to try a combo?"

"Would you like any butter"

"For 50 cents you can get a Medium/Large Drink/Popcorn"

"Any additional items?"

I started saying "Hi" and "Sup" after the first week rather than all that garbage. I hate when people did that to me; it feels even worse doing it yourself

That's good that you asked for the manager though, cus most times that means that bag employee is gonna get torn later. Managers hearing complaints really pisses them off, so keep reporting that .

I was at Sonic over the summer early in the morning and they asked if we wanted some tots or something. I responded snotty to the driver who was ordering "Yes. I want some tots. after reading this thread i shoulda known better.. went to grab a quick bite at good old mickey d's and they ed up my order worse than ever imaginable. the lady on the intercome spoke broken english so i ordered in spanish and she STILL managed to my order up. un ingbelievable.

Yeah I used to do that, but that gets old, you just get sick of that . You shouldn't have to always be checking that the ers gave you a small chicken nugget instead of a large fry.


When you eat there, it's no big deal, but when you're going through the drive through, no one wants to do that .

Messed up orders get me but what gets my husband most is when you order and they take your money and THEN say "Would you step aside" and wait for them to bring it out to your car.

Pisses him off royally.
He won't wait, he asks for a refund and goes somewhere else.
He figures if a burger joint can't have a burger and fries by the time he drives through he doesn't want to deal with them.

And he doesn't "special order". It's regular menu items.

It used to embarrass my kids but now they know what's coming if they here "Step aside!" They instantly list where they want to go instead!
