haven't had that, but i dig tien hong on burnet, and it's three blocks from the house.
I generally think buffet chinese food is not good.![]()

Estas pero bien buey.
that place is pretty good. nice call. actually had lunch there a couple weeks ago. food is good and the hostess was easy on the eyes too.
it's a lot like zen but alot better imo.
I really only like Ding How. damn i can;t wait for them to re-open!
i dont; know what I would do for chinese if I ever moved from San Antonio![]()
Their website says it's "Pay Way." I've always heard nothing but negative comments about that place, so I've never even tried it. We got PF Chang's brought in for us one day at work, and EVERYBODY was sick the next day. Well, except for me, since I am on South Beach and don't do Chinese any more.It was a quiet day at work.
I have mentioned here why I hate it before, but I'll say it again.
The meat is very, very substandard compared to PF Chang's.
They overload every dish with carrots so that they don't have to give you that much meat.
The eggrolls taste like they've been cooked once. Left a plate for a few hours, then cooked again.
It's not just one location - I actually had Pei Wei in another state before I ever had it in San Antonio.
I like Pei Wei. Their crab wontons are really yummy and I have always enjoyed their kung pao shrimp.![]()
Actually, its "pay way". I used to work at Flemings, which owns PF Changs, which owns Pei Wei. We got to eat there for free. Doesn't even compare to PF Changs.
It's pronounced pay-way, pee wee
I wasn't impressed with Ghengis Grill when we tried it. I'll give it another shot, though, because it could have just been my dish.
You mean Ashbeeigh is wrong? Shocking.
i hate it...i think it sucks. pf changs kicks it's ass
there's a place called sun sun off 281....if you're in the area and really hungry..go there...it's really really good and they give you an absolute load of food.
pretty creative name
mencius is better...and so was formosa...too bad it's gone![]()
So would a load of food feed a load of people? That's so funny--I've never heard " load of food" before!![]()

281 and what?
Ohhhhh yes! Mencius. It's my second favorite Chinese place. My all-time fav is a place called Dragon Inn on Bandera Rd, right near Randy's (Rodeo). It's a hole in the wall, but I love their food.
I didn't know Formosa closed![]()
Sun Sun is on the Southbound side of 281 just south of 1000 Oaks, where the Jims and Taco Cabana are.
When I used to work at the OD at 281 & Bitters, I would always get it to-go.
good !
I don't do much meat, but I've had the vegetable and tofu lo mein several times and it's been very good each time. When I'm in there I always hear people raving about the lettuce wraps; never tried it though, I have a "wrap" phobia!.
Mencius is the WORST of all their restaurants. Hit up Taipei on Stone Oak which is by far their best location.
Golden Wok on Wurzbach near I-10![]()
Their chicken is undercooked and their rice is overcooked. Been there twice with the same results.
We have a PF Chang's up here in the Chicago suburbs...up by Woodfield Mall, if anyone knows where that is.
