he's got will calhoun from living colour drumming for him now.
sorry but lupe fiasco>>>kanyes latest joint. gotta compare em cause this album is overrated. 3 or 4 hot tracks total. i went out and did buy this album... not sure i'm very impressed after a few times listening to it through just yet....
he's got will calhoun from living colour drumming for him now.
"Glamour Boys" came up when I had my iPod on shuffle the other day. That was a bit of a blast from the past.
nobody should give this album over a 5 out of 10
6/10!
Honestly, i only like about half the album. Not bad for a modern commercial release. Good for a download.
the downside of the album is its only 13 tracks....
bought it and love it. big brother is my favorite track right now.
musically, this guy is light years ahead of any other producer in hip-hop today.
it's too bad he's not that good of a rapper.
any kanye fans looking forward to CRS?
The upside, however, is that it doesn't appear to have any "skits" this time. I ing hate that .
If I had to endure another "Broke Phi Broke" skit, I would have thrown the CD away. Those skits nearly ruined his last 2 albums.
They're on almost every rap/hip hop CD I can think of since "The Chronic" and they're all ing lame.
50 Cent is getting outsold on Amazon by Bruce Springsteen pre-orders right now.

Did The Chronic ruin hip hop?
Serious question.
I'd say that the album itself did not, but its popularity and the fact that it became the mainstream definition of the entire genre may have.
It spawned the hip-hop album skit trend, Snoop Dogg & his "izzle" lingo, and the term "Deez Nutz". I'd say so. But I still love that album.
Snoop didn't "izzle" on the Chronic, the "izzle" came much later.
And no, I didn't buy the Kanye album, probably won't even download it. I've got College Dropout, and that is enough Kanye for me.
He refers to Dr. Dre and "Drizzay" multiple times on The Chronic.
he also says "rizzip" and "hizzouse"
Not "izzling". Snoop started using "izzle" when he became an MTV goon.
meh... just wish he did less talking about louis vuitton and more talking about something of substance. guess i was just hoping for something more.
LOL Christ Almighty, "izz" and "izzle" WHAT THE is the difference? They're both ing re ed and basically the exact same thing.
I might have downloaded it last week, I might not have....
Did the skit thing come out with The Chronic or did it make it popular?
'Cause I remember older albums\cd's doing that .
N.W.A's "To Kill a Hooker" leading into "One Less " comes to mind.
"The Chronic" is the first one that comes to mind where the skits were such a big deal. , so many years later, "The $20 Sack Pyramid" and "The Doctor's Office" are every bit as memorable to me as any of the songs.
Yes, they are both ing re ed, but I was just pointing out the Snoop never "izzled" on the Chronic. Ya dizzle my nizzle?
tracks #1,3,6 and 9 are my favorites. this album gets better after a few listenings.
