I am sure Colin Firth is highly regarded, but you can never give that man too much press.![]()
I've always thought Colin Firth was a highly regarded actor.
He always puts on a solid performance and I watch everything he's in.
I even saw Nanny McPhee, but Kelly McDonald had something to do with that too.

Which is why I love Criminal Intent!
I like to refer to that one as "Law & Order Cutie Pie"![]()
I'm glad USA picked it up for this season. I like SVU too, but CI is my fave. I hate the original one.
He was in Mystic Pizza too!
Paul Giamatti. Hulk Hogan :rofl (not really).
Ed Norton is amazing.
I don't think it's possible to overrate Tom Hanks, so I'll toss him in here as well, even though he's well-known.
Gina Davis always rocked my socks when she was in any movie.
I thought Jim Carrey did a pretty good transition from 12 year old humor to pretty serious movies.
The only good "serious" role he's played is in The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. He was passable in The Majestic, but everything else has been pure .
He did another serious movie before he became 'Jim Carrey' called Doing Time On Maple Drive. He was pretty good in that.
Whoa, hey now. The Truman Show was a fine movie and he was quite good in it.
I've never seen that.
I'll have to check it out.
That movie is overrated and he was basically Ace Ventura Light.
Leonardo DiCaprio
Manu Ginobili
You can usually catch in on Lifetime or the likeI think he may have made it even before he was on In Living Color.
I can understand referring to The Truman Show as overrated; a sentiment I do not share. However, referring to his performance as "Ace Ventura Light" does little justice to his performance and is, actually, puzzling.
You can easily draw comparisons through his comedic roles (Ace Ventura, The Mask, The Cable Guy etc.), but his performance as Truman stands apart from those characters.
I forgot about his Andy Kaufman performance as well.
wow...
...then again you thought the acting in Revenge Of The Sith was good, so your judgement is way off anyways.
The faces he makes and some of the comedic timing he employs in that movie are in the same vein of Ace Ventura. Of course, it's not over the top like Ace Ventura, but it's in the same vein.
The problem with Carrey is that his type of comedy is all the same. And, it's not even funny . . . it's more annoying that funny. The fact that he uses the same shtick over and over again, makes him quite tiresome.
But, I do give him props for The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Majestic.
I'm sorry you didn't understand that movie.
But, that particular opinion doesn't change the fact that The Truman Show is .

I guess 3 million, it's acutally more but I don't have the exact figure, people are all wrong. And, the fact that the DVD's are still selling like little boy gay porn tailor made for catholic priests means nothing either.
But, hey, whatever.
I'm not interested in what the mindless fanboys and sheep who don't know any better think of 3 most recent Star Wars turds.

Judy Davis.
I'm not interested in what people who are incapable of making any kind of grammatic sense have to say.
Sean Penn is great and pretty underrated imo.
