I'm guessing that if the police mentioned there was a gun in the car, there probably wasn't a carry permit in the driver's wallet.

Just got off of the phone and he is doing better, but is in pain. He said the media is making it seem like they were up to no good looking for trouble and that is not true. I told him that all of you sent him your best and that our prayers are with him. He said he really appreciates that.

A driver called police on Sunday afternoon to report that his friend had been wounded by gunfire while traveling on Interstate 10 near Wurzbach Parkway.

Officers arrived at a gas station to find that the passenger had been shot in the stomach, police said.

EMS rushed the victim to University Hospital while officers searched the driver's car.

Police said they found a gun, some marijuana and brass knuckles inside the bullet-riddled vehicle, and arrested the driver.

Police still aren't sure who shot at the vehicle.

So you're saying there wasn't a gun, weed and brass knuckles in the car? Those weren't the reasons the driver was arrested? I fail to read where it says Mark was placed under arrest.

So who's lying? SAPD? KSAT?

So what should KSAT have said about why the driver was arrested? Should they have made up a lie? Should they just have said he was arrested without a charge? Should they have held back information to make the readers feel better?

Not that one JBlaze. I think its a news story that KENS ran saying that the police didn't believe the driver or something like that. I know the media is only reporting what SAPD gave them.

The important thing is that Mark is getting better and seems to think he will be alright. What led to the shooting is beyond me.
