The Spurs coming out onto the floor accompanied by anything loud and vaguely optimistic will get me pumped. But "Y'all Ready For This" has been playing for the Spurs since the mid nineties. It's time for the team to get a little younger.

Well, it's only fitting. That song was a serious AJ vehicle when he was with the Spurs, and now that they're retiring his number, they should retire the song as well. Actually, they should have done it when he left in 2001.
Now can we get rid of playing the chorus to "We Are the Champions" in a 10-minute loop when the deciding Spurs victory in the NBA Finals is played in SA. That's a hundred times worse (and more embarrassing).

Everyone plays it, and everyone sings along with it. Come on, lighten up.
It's embarrassing when its played in an endless loop for 10+ minutes. One time through is fine. 25 times in a row is a beating.
It's also highly unoriginal to begin with.
Dude, everyone in every sport plays that song when they win. Do you also want to eliminate a trophy ceremony since other sports do that, too, and it's "unoriginal"?

But amongst those who do, NONE of them play it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over for 10+ minutes. Like I said, one time through is acceptable.....highly unoriginal and tired, but acceptable. Anything more is nails on a chalkboard.
