Biggest waste of 100 million ever on that running back and idiot QB. They should just fold all their sports franchises before it is too late
only if drew brees showed up last week i would still be undefeated in my fantasy league

L.A. has officially withdrawn consideration for an expansion/relocation team. They said they no longer have any interest in trying to woo the NFL.
Portland, however, I've never given much thought to. That is a possibility. However, I still maintain that SA can make an NFL team work.
Jerry's press conference last Friday made specific mentions of meeting with the leading potential investors in LA before the season started, and how he's meeting with other NFL owners tomorrow (Tuesday, the 16th) regarding that market. They talked about Toronto, too.
You can believe all you want about San Antonio's ability to make the NFL happen, but the league wants LA.
I didn't read about that.
Well, there's still hope.
By the way, that chick on you sig is hawt!
That's it in a nuts . I believe SA can do it...but the NFL wants that market. You can believe all you want about San Antonio's ability to make the NFL happen, but the league wants LA.
The NFL would work in many cities. I agree that their first choice is L.A. though.
It needs to start working in Seattle, apparently.
If I remember right, the Saints weren't selling out in San Antonio a couple years ago, either.
If the San Antonio were to get an NFL franchise, the Alomodome would have to undersgo a major renovation or a new stadium would have to be built. I'm not so sure the NFL is keen on awarding a franchise to a town that ranks 37th in terms of market size.
LA or Las Vegas has a better chance of landing the Saints before SA does.
SA would be a horrible NFL town since the overwhelming majority of football fans there are life long Cowboy fans. You aren't converting those people.
Vegas will never get a NFL team because of all the gambling implications.
Whenever the Cowboys play at Arizona, it's nothing but Cowboy jerseys.
If it worked out for Arizona, why can't it work out for San Antonio?
Did you see the Jacksonville-Houston game??
There was a load of empty seats.
If Jacksonville can have a football team, I don't see why S.A. can't.
Plus, I went to two of the Saint's games here in S.A., the seats were completely filled up. The tailgating was awesome too.
Um, Western Conference Finals game 1 isn't a regular season game. If there's not enough interest to sell out 20 thousand seats in the playoffs for the best team in the league, then no idiot in his right mind would risk trying to sell 65,000 tickets for a football team.
It's all moot anyway; getting the Alamodome ready for a current NFL franchise would cost as much as it did to build the stadium in the first place.
Again, the basketball post season goes on forever.
Did they sell out the other games??
Anyway, it's just 8 home games they have to sell out every year. And, with all the football nuts (myself included) from the Valley up to Austin, it's actually quite achievable.
I don't see the 65K seat Alamodome selling out for an epic clash between the 2-5 Riverwalkers and the 3-4 Cardinals.
True, but that can be said about many other teams.
Could the Hawks possibly lay two eggs in a row.
I can't see St Louis with banged up Bulger getting some painkiller shots, playing and winning but is it possible? What up with Seattle?
I gaurantee you I would buy season tickets, and I would miss prob 3 or 4 of the home games.
The Saints have a 30,000 deep waiting list for season tickets.
San Antonio can't sell out an NBA playoff game.
Give me a ing break.
You're still not understanding.
NBA > games than NFL, therefore > tickets to sell.
And yet, they have sold out several playoff games.
So, you don't make much of a point.
Actually, you are the one that doesn't understand. It's a financial decision made by someone who wants to make money relocating a team.
The NBA is currently the only game in town. The Spurs are currently in the middle of their most successful run in team history, with three all stars, a new arena and multiple championships. They were unable to sell out game 1 of the Western Conference Finals in a stadium half the size of the Alamodome. The owner of a team would see the above and think twice about moving into a city with a brand new stadium and without two competing franchises within 250 miles.
In short, relocating a team to a town whose citizens point out the long NBA season as a reason not to be bothered to spend money on playoff tickets isn't something a smart businessman would do.
They were playing the Houston ing Texans.
That game was sold out since it was on in the Jacksonville area. A lot of people probably didn't think it was worth the trouble going.
Jacksonville has more than proven it deserves and NFL franchise.
Unless SA is willing to s out big money for a state of the art stadium, it's not getting a pro franchise, period!
You're basing all this on 1 game that wasn't sold out?
Okay, that makes sense.
But, do me a favor, give me the number of tickets that would need to be sold for a football season and compare them to the number of tickets actually sold by the Spurs in one season.
Tell me wich is the greater.
