Does anyone here participate in Marketocracy? It is a site that allow members to create a simulated mutual fund (and requires the same compliance requirements that the SEC puts on real mutual funds) and creates a real mutual fund from the top 100 performers (and pays those top 100 performers). I've been doing it since September or so... here is my fund's page:

Sign up if that is your bag... its pretty cool... maybe we could start up an FSP club (they support Clubs to compare your performance against friends, etc).

You realize that they will sell your email address to spammers that will inundate you with "hot" tips on stock, right? Best to get some freemail addy, like a yahoo account or something and use that for any web-registration where you aren't 1000% sure about their creds.

I've been signed up with my work email address for over 2 years, and haven't gotten a single article of spam. The only thing I've gotten from them is checks the last two quarters for being in the m100.

Hmm, started a fund, but the suck thing is that it seems to be limited to US stocks.

It also doesn't seem to allow for US treasuries or bonds.

That would make the fund a bit riskier than I would do with my own money, but I will muddle through.



It is always fun to bypass network blocking software. It allows embedded youtube videos but blocks direct access. whoot.

I was looking to invest in foreign companies directly in the foreign home exchanges.

The site also seems to limit trades to NYSE, AMEX and the other major indexes.

No pinksheets for good foreign companies.
