seems like whenever Scola does something, it's quick to be discredited because of the resentment of the trade

He looks like a little more athletic version of Oberto. His shot and mostly all his game.

That's exactly what I thought after I saw a full Euroleague game with Scola in it (the one where he set the record for most career points in euroleague?). And it further confirmed in my mind that the Front Office knows what they are doing. It really was no coincidence that they immediately went to Oberto after Scola didn't work out that year...he fit right into the role they were hoping Scola would fill. Sure he's more athletic, probably more talented, more polished offensively, whatever.

But let's not forget...Oberto had an 11 for 11 (?) game last year.

Scola is trying to make a name for himself. He's playing for a recognition. For the NBA, against his former Argentina comrades, for his team to earn minutes. The Spurs don't need to win 20 or 40 to make a good impression.
I think we have to take a closer look into how Duncan made 25 pts & 13 rbds and 2 assts when he's not actually 100%. He was a probable for that game.

As expected, you only run your mouth on Scola when he finally had a good game.

Shouldn't you have the balls to have been able to talk about his game when he wasn't doing so well before? You were so careful to avoid talking about Scola's performance the past couple of weeks.

If you had at least defended his prior performances (even if they would have been hilariously misguided), people would at least give these current comments a little more consideration.

Scola is extremely polished, and the league doesn't know his skill set...he should have been doing this from out of the gate...the fact that he wasn't should be alarming...


The league will catch up to him...the fact that they started out caught up to him is what was notable to me.

Ok, so looking at the latest Rockets-Spurs game, Scola=20 points, 4 rebounds. I am a huge spurs fan myself, but come on Spurs!!! I would like to know who everyone else would trade for Scola... but we should have taken him while we had the chance! I would probably trade Barry and Elson and maybe a 2nd round draft pick for him. Note: I said maybe.
