We could revive the Robinson for Webber trade. Then maybe.
Or we could sign Arvydas Sabonis. They have basically the same skill set and mobility, but I'm betting Arvydas would be cheaper.

We should sign Meinge Battier
Chris Webber is like kryptonite for a championship. no way
Gang, I hear where you're coming from, but I don't think that Webber is nearly as far gone as Van Exel was when he played for San Antonio. He, for example, is still capable of double digit rebound games and can pass out of the post---if he were available at a couple million or less for the remainder of the season he might be worth the 15th roster spot.
A few of you suggested Varajao, and that makes great basketball sense. Varajao is a great team defender and would give the Spurs a formindable body to throw at Dirk. He's also well ouside the Spurs price range and would require a sign and trade of Barry and probably a second round draft pick to get it done---and that without any guarantees of his being in a Spur uniform beyond this year. Webber is not half the player that Varajao is, but he is available at a much lower price. The Webber suggestion is more in line with the flier the Spurs took on Glen Robinson a few years back, not the ill-founded confidence they placed in Nick Van Exel. And, again, I'd still prefer Webber to Bonner.
The Spurs should ABSOLUTELY sign Chris Webber. It's really their only chance at repeating.
Saboteur!
...and there's a reason for that.
Bonner sucks ass.
Scola couldn't hold Bonners jock!!!
That wasn't the point. But thanks for the response.
