I agree with you 100%.
Sean Elliott said that the knee is stable. They are calling it an ankle sprain and a knee contustion right now. We'll see after the MRIs are done.
I agree with you 100%.
right ankle sprain and knee contusion.. maximum 2 weeks
If that's all it is then it could turn out to be a postive for the Spurs(although Duncan would probably have preferred it not happen). The Spurs are the stage where they only need to make the playoffs to have a great shot at a le...they are beyond the need for HCA etc...so learning to play without Duncan...well the last time that happened the Spurs became extremely mentally tough...and won a le.
Bill Schoening have just said that
holy , what happened?
said what?
Yeah, I keep thinking about that Suns game in '05 when Manu and Tim both didn't play and we came oh so close to beating them, and then rocked them later in the playoffs with everyone healthy. And those impressive B2B double overtime road wins down the stretch. Situations like this are good for the team, even if it makes winning games tougher.

Swell job for those of us who can't see the game.
I'll wait for the official diagnosis before finding the silver lining. Sounds like he should be okay but I'm not ready to start celebrating.
Manu passes to Duncan over a fronting James Jones. Duncan's feet gets tangled and he twists down on top of his knee and ankle. Duncan gets helped off. Reports indicate sprained ankle and knee contusion with MRI to follow.
Duncan will be okay. This team is still good enough to win games. Duncan just needs to rest and not rush back. In fact he should come back after 12/17.
I'm thinking about when the Spurs became the first team in NBA history to win back to back double OT games(on the road no less). Duncan was out for both...Manu was out for one of them as well. everyone was injured just about...Rasho, I think Nazr..Devin Brown.
That was the definition of mental toughness for me.
Come on don't joke like that right now. Regardless how bad or not bad it looked we're still worried.
Usually those ones that look awful aren't bad at all(Shaun Livingston excluded)...the bad ones are where the guy just falls down or starts limping when no one touches him...
I know but hey the wounded teams are the ones that are most dangerous. You still have Parker and Manu.
SOB I didn't know it was an afternoon game.
Yeah, Nene blew out his knee and no one touched him a couple of years ago.
I can't believe this. I miss the first half and this happens. I will never miss a minute of a game for the rest of the season.
The Spurs will be fine short term without Duncan.
Had this been, God forbid, season ending, I believe that would have been the end of a repeat chance.
just pray there is no ligament damage or the Spurs season is DONE
Spurs to call up Mahinmi now?
Look on the bright side, Bonner will get more PT![]()
I assume Horry will decide he's ready.
BTW what is up with Finley's shooting lately?
