easy to say after the game is over
We had our two starting CB's back for the NE game. These guys we have back there now couldn't start for most college programs.
to all us phin fans out there...Here's to us putting up with this crappy team and to 2008 draft.
Can't all be as lucky as Pats fan can we?
And? Zach Thomas, Ronnie Brown, Trent Green, Channing Crowder, Yeremiah Bell and Chambers being traded.
So your ass CBs were out. Half the ing team was out for Miami
it would of been cool for the fins to boast a undefeated team and a winless team in their history.
Todd Heap, Chris McAlister, Samari Rolle, Ray Lewis (2nd half) Trevor Pryce, Demetrius Williams, Steve McNair, you don;t want to start with me with the injuries. And ALL except one are pro bowlers! Who the is a Crowder? I'm not making excuses, but the list speaks for it self. The only one on that list that may be worth a damn is Brown and Bell.
My point wasn't about talent, it was about effort. When I've seen the Ravens play this season -- games at Pittsburgh, against NE and Indy -- what's struck me generally is the lack of sustained effort. The one exception to that is the New England game. But, again, because they were able to give such great effort that night, I really have wondered why Ravens fans aren't more upset about the clear lack of effort in other games. It's in the Ravens to play very, very hard, but they just don't do that very often. And, like I say, if I was a Ravens fan that Pats game would have pissed me off at my team more than anything else.
crowder you piece of is our 2nd best linebacker
he replaces Zach Thomas at mlb
Zach Thomas is the heart of our defense
without those two pretty much we can't stop the run
the sad part is that the guy who replaces Thomas and crowder at mlb is Donnie Spragan, well that guy is injured to so we had to start an undrafted rookie Ed Miles, who is a piece of like you
At safety positions, our 2 starting are out for the whole year
At running back, we lost Brown and Chatman, (Williams) so we had to sign Gado
My point is, both team have injuries but the ravens still have more talent than the fins so there is no excuse to blame the loss on the injuries
not for us fin fans
All know is years from now, when people are looking at records from this year they will say the dolphins only win of the year came against the Baltimore Ravens!!Nobody will remember who was injured.![]()
I see your point. But with the NE game many of times down field their were no one open at all. Even with the time Brady was given he was not able to just torch us through the air. The following game you have C-Mac and Rolle out. Two shutdown corners against the Colts. I think the team did play hard the first couple of plays. But after a while it's like what can you do when you have two guys out there who wouldn't be starting for Notre Dame playing cornerback? The effort is there in other games, the execution is what is lacking. The only game I can truly say that we did probably lie down in was the Indy game. The earlier games we lost we had McNair at QB who looked like he was hungover. In some games the play-calling has been questionable at best. I'm by no means using injuries as an excuse, but you have to take into account that in one week you go from playing with two pro bowlers on defense, to two practice squad guys in CRITICAL positions, the effort can be there all it wants. Now what I will agree with you with is that the effort should be there for these guys to try and PLAY more often. How you go from playing in a game against NE, to sitting out the rest of the season is beyond me. It's like they pick and choose what games they want to play in. In that Pats game alot of things changed from normal weeks as well. What you saw from McGahee is what you normally get from him week in and week out. Billick actually called a good game for once this season. He was constantly attacking NE's defense by throwing the ball down the field. Do you know that up to about week 8 we had not completed a pass beyond 40 freakin yards all season!? The O-Line in that game DID play better than they had though the entire season, I will say that. But everyone else besides the fact that Billick got off his conservative play-calling until the end played like they normally play.

I wasn't using injuries as an excuse at all. I was responding to a post by FWD when he was talking about effort in games. You guys deserved to win that game plain and simple. I was just stating the fact that against the Pats we had pretty much our entire starting defense playing besides Trevor Pryce. That is saying alot considering that our defense is the heart and soul of our team. But trust me if we are playing that game against NE with those two scrubs that you have seen the last couple of weeks back there this arguement wouldn't even be an issue because it would had been 48-0 come halftime against NE. But you guys beat us with Cleo Freakin Lemon at QB. So I'm not trying to use injuries as an excuse at all. I actually was kinda happy to see the owner for you guys wiping away tears. That was a good win, unfortunately at my Ravens expense.

Thanks we needed that real bad. Now if we pull off a win against the Pats, it will feel like a superbowl win.![]()
I dont know of any team that would boast a winless season.
