I definitely have different taste in movies- no surprise.
Movies I saw for me-- Waitress and Evening.
Kid movies that surprised me- Surf's Up and Meet the Robinsons.

I've always been fascinated by the Greek/Roman eras and loved seeing the Spartans on the big screen.

"We Own the Night" is right up there for me.
That was an amazing movie! The little apple animations were so on target.
My favorite movie, though, is August Rush.
wallace and gromit
There are too many I still want to see to answer.
Just saw No Country for Old Men yesterday, though, and thought it was amazing. The preview for There Will Be Blood looked good, too.
Yah, I forgot how satisfied I was walking out of that movie...cheers![]()
Just got it for my Hoe Bo for Christsmas, today![]()
no but i've heard alot of good things about it.
No Country, Juno among AFI's top 10 of 2007

December 18, 2007
Los Angeles -- No Country for Old Men, There Will Be Blood and Michael Clayton were among critical favourites that have landed on the American Film Ins ute's list of the year's 10 best movies.
Also on the AFI's list are Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Into the Wild, the pregnancy comedies Juno and Knocked Up (both of which star Canadians - Ellen Page and Seth Rogen, respectively), the animated Ratatouille and The Savages.
The ins ute does not rank films or pick one as the year's best. The filmmakers behind the top-10 choices will be honoured at a luncheon Jan. 11.
Many of the films picked up Golden Globe nominations last week and are expected to compete for Academy Awards.

I remember people cheered when Marge said gawd damn. That was a good sequence and fit in perfectly with the situation.
My 2nd favorite movie of 2007
So I keep track of what movies I watch each year online and rate them, etc (I know, pretty nerdy)... the only movie I gave a A this year I watched was Last King of Scotland which came out last year. From this year, I had Ocean's Thirteen and Shooter (surprisingly good I thought) with B+'s as the highest. I'm pretty picky when rating movies though...
Three favs, separated by the slimmest of margins....too close to call.
3:10 to Yuma
Dan in Real Life
Die Hard 4
Shooter was alright but just another clone of every other action movie. That FBI becoming a world class sniper over night was pretty stupid.
I was really disappointed with 3:10 To Yuma. I love westerns and figured I would love it ever since I heard about it. But it wasn't that interesting to me.
Hot Fuzz
3:10 To Yuma
Children of Men (I could have sworn that movie came out in 2006...)
No Country for Old Men
Simpsons Movie
Superbad
Eastern Promises
The first 60 minutes of I Am Legend
I still need to see Juno and the Bourne Ultimatum.
i forgot about hot fuzz, that movie kicked ass.
It got a limited release in the tail end of 2006 for award contention. Went wide in January of this year.
I thought Hot Fuzz was last year!! Oh yeah I forgot Planet Terror!!
Children of Men
Superbad
The Simpsons
No Country for Old Men
All are fantastic movies.
Children of Men.
