The rumors had been flying around for weeks and it is now confirmed that Britney's not so baby sister Jamie-Lynn is knocked up.
And in the words of Madonna....she's keeping her baby!
I don't think she was ever headed to the hotness that was once Britney but damn. She was really working that Nickelodeon with her 19 yr. old lover.

TMZ was with the popwreck tonight while she did some late night shopping at the Lisa Kline store on Robertson Blvd. As she left of the store, she told the waiting throng of paparazzi and fans, "My sister's not pregnant!" Ding dang, wha?!
We overheard Brit Brit make the confusing statement as she left the private shopping session at the boutique around 9:00 PM.
Next time she hits up a gas station, someone might want to hand her this week's OK! mag. That's your sister on the cover, Brit.

Remember that book that Lynne Spears was writing about, uh, parenting? Well, now that Jamie Lynn is all knocked up, the tome is all but knocked out. Ya think?
Lynne's book -- "Pop Culture Mom" -- was supposed to come out this spring, but as People reports, has now been "delayed indefinitely ... It's delayed, not canceled," according to Thomas Nelson, the publisher. It had been described as "Lynne Spears's personal story of raising high-profile children while coming from a low-profile Louisiana community."
No word on whether Grandmama will be adding a chapter on teen pregnancy.

I guess she didn't want the life that her sister took, "a celebrity". Good for her and her longtime boyfriend, I hope they raise good natured kids who will probably contribute better ideas than they did to pop culture. And also she has money to support her offspring and is independent so to speak unlike many underage teenage girls who get pregnant here in the US and about a certain percentage get abortions.
From my personal standpoint I do applaud the fact that she chose not to terminate her pregancy even though I am sure there was pressure to because of how this pregnancy would hurt her career. I think the interesting part is the notion this is only happening with teenagers. Did we not have a thread a few days ago about a college educated couple facing the same issue of an unplanned pregnancy?
