Enjoy the silence now.
Adding on to those:
Enjoy clothes that don't have spit up on them.
Enjoy not having the contents that end up in diapers.
Enjoy having time to take a shower.
Enjoy your time with the baby as much as possible because eventually s/he will become a teenager who thinks they know everything.

Congratulations! Kids are great as long as they aren't mine!
Every time I hear a kid melting down in a store or see someone wrestling one of those wicked strollers, it makes me wanna laugh like a big ol donkey right in their face and say "Ha! It's you and NOT me!"
Whenever I see a kid melting down in a grocery store, I look at them and say, "It's okay...I don't want to be here either!" Does it count if they are yours but you pretend they aren't if they act up in public?
Or when they're teenagers and they pretend they don't know you anytime you're in public?
