Same here. xmas eve til noon, off today.
We rotate holidays in my group, I had thanksgiving off and have new years eve and new years day off. It varies from year to year. A lot of people in my group would rather work because the double time and a half is too good to pass up and there isnt much to do at work on holiday's(unless something breaks).

Most everybody where I worked have families, but it's kinda like, you have to work one of the holidays, make your choice.
Plus, for me, since I'm hourly, I'll take the holiday pay + comp time anyway.
Was off yesterday for xmas eve, but work today 2:30 to 7:30.
Off news years eve and day though! At my work we get to pick one or the other.
ugggh can't you just work one and then off for the other holiday. On the plus side of working today, the company catered food for us that had to work. Free Turkey, stuffing, and Mashed Potatoes. It wasn't the same as home made but overall not bad.
Last night and today was really boring. Weren't nobody on the roads at all. Tonight is going to be another sleeper. But New Years is fun because all the clubs are open, the countdown at the Harbor. Not only the drunk girls, the drunk everybody on New Years.

Well technically yeah because I work nights anyway. I'm going in soon today because I'm working a double. I have to look on the schedule to see if I'm off that night or not. It really doesn't matter because my supervisor os normally good at giving us the next couple of days off. So it really doesn't matter too much. Kinda got used to it.

LOL well for some people thats easier said than done. I would be better off NOT drinking at all lol.
what up what up what...just got done doing x mas at home thins morning took a nap and now I am officially clocked in....aint really too much going on because most of the the folks on on leave but like it was stated earlier...we switch holidays....but in a since I still got christmas just missed out on dinner....oh well...hope we can make this time pass by
Yeah working the holiday's wouldnt be a big deal for me since I don't care much for celebrating them but its a good time to get together with family since we are all over. I think once I move to Houston it will be easier since most of my family has migrated over there.
I have about seven hours left (boo double shifts). Working on Christmas kicks ass, I don't have to do . I'm making bank for watching the NBA.
