I don't give a about playing real music, I just like video games and I find Guitar Hero pretty ing fun. If I did want to be a and play guitar I would buy a guitar but I want to play meaningless video games so I bought Guitar Hero.
Well, Guitar Hero seems to be the first game to make younger people go, "Wait a minute... You're wasting your time!!" Maybe that's a good thing, I don't know.

You bought wisely.
Next up, Rock Band.
Too lazy to learn to play guitar? How about, not wanting to learn to play the guitar? I enjoy GH and RB for what they are, games - and they're rhythm games. That's like telling someone who plays DDR that they're lazy for not learning how to actually dance. Honestly, someone who can play a lot of the harder songs on expert in GH do it for the challenge. It takes some serious skill and coordination to do that.
Get the over yourself.
Uh, its not meant to simulate anything. Its a game. You play it for fun. A real instrument is a hobby that requires hundreds of hours of practice and a natural talent for. You seem insecure about the whole thing. I have Ibanez electric and aucostic guitars and I don't go around trashing people playing a game based off them. Just like you don't see NBA athletes saying "go out and play the game yourself".
Life is short, people don't have the time to dedicate themselves to sharpshooting/music playing/athletics or whatever else a video game has you do. If you have the talent, grats. I don't see what the big deal is.
LOL why all this GH hate? I have a friend that was dogging my roomate for playing Rockband, but the moment he came over wanted to play it but could only sing because he sucked at the Guitar and drums. I know guys in a band that guitar hero and enjoy it. Ill ask them if they hate guitar hero players that don't know how to play guitar.
