yeah, clinton Portis, the genius commentor of the Vick story
Damn, that hurts. Because it would be incredibly difficult to find a stupid statement coming from a Cowboy.

The real season starts now. Until I see otherwise, both of these teams are SUCK ASS.
Redskins a suckass team? Then what does that make Dallas? A steaming pile of maybe? Yeah, sounds about right.

    "suck ass"

who says that? are you going to call them "poopie heads" next?

    Ok, how about this:

the skins. Fck the seahawks. Both of these teams can suck my .

If I remember correctly, you guys struggled going into the playoffs last year and you won it all...Cowboys were not inspired to win that game last week.
they've struggled for the past month. you could make an argument that - of the 12 teams in the playoffs - dallas has been the 12th best team since the beginning of December.

  5. #30
Dallas struggled since two of their three best players got injured (which coincidentally started happening in December). With a healthier team and two (or three) weeks rest, they are fully capable of beating all comers in the watered down NFC.

The Eagles: Romo clearly struggled with his bad thumb. If we score a mere 13 points, we win.

The Panthers: We were really clicking until T.O. went down. This kind of changed the momentum and play-calling of the game obviously.

The Redskins: Vanilla offense and no-blitzing vanilla defense that were "just out there". Why you guys act like you won an all-out war is beyond me. Do you really think we were playing this game as if we must win it? That would have been the Redskins...I won't even mention the injuries also.

Maybe this is considered a "struggle" but for obvious and correctable reasons. We will see this team light it up next week...I hope.

What a bunch of pussified excuses.

Any person that knows one iota about football would admit that Dallas has played horribly the last 3 games.

You mention injuries? How about losing 7 starters like Washington???

How about having your best player get killed???

You want a legit reason for excuses? Look at Washington. Do they whine and cry like your Dallas team??

    NO.

The Vegas line is now Seattle -3 a 5 point swing

This is now the biggest swing in NFL in over 20 yrs.

Heads will roll in Vegas casinos. Whoever set this line will be fired, if Washington covers this spread.

How can any one with half a brain so completely miss this line????

Washington was the hottest team in the NFC, they are all playing for Taylor and Joe Gibbs, their D has been without question, the best in the NFL the last 4 wks.

    Prediction:

    Washington 29

    Seattle 13

After looking at their schedules, I have learned that Seattle does not even belong in the playoffs.

    Why?

    1) Washington probably has the second-best defense in the NFC.(Behind Dallas) The Seahawks, factoring in their lame schedule, have almost the worst defense in the entire NFL.

    2) Schedule strength. Seahawks have played patsies while the Redskins played the Pats. And the Redskins haven't just had to confront the Patriots. Washington also had to travel to Green Bay, play the Cowboys twice, the Giants twice and the division champion Bucs on the road, too. In all, Washington coped with seven games against teams that are in the playoffs.

Seattle faced almost nobody. The Seahawks played only two games against playoff teams. They played 9 games against teams with a losing record. In fact, Seattle only faced two teams that won even 10 games. Seattle's record is mostly a mirage, built on four cream-puff wins against paltry NFC West rivals San Francisco and St. Louis.

How could Vegas have put this team as an 8 pt fav????

I think the Washington defense is better than Dallas - although I'm not sure either is the best in the conference (Tampa?). Dallas is slightly better in yards per game, but Washington was better in yards per play (remember that the Redskins had a pretty inconsistent offense that often struggled to control the clock until the last 3 weeks).

I'd also say that Seattle's defense is completely mediocre - as in middle of the pack.

If you take out the New England game, Washington's defensive stats improve to 2nd best in NFC.

  19. #44
    a) you can't take out the new england game
    b) in terms of yards allowed per play, they are already 2nd best in the NFC

    Lock of the year III

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seattle started as an 8 pt fav over Washington, now it is down to 3 1/2, for the biggest playoff swing in 7 years.

Las Vagas screwed up here, obviously underestimating the action on Washington. They are desperate to get action on Seattle now.

Every big time sports bettor dreams of this very thing. Every professional gambler will be putting huge bets on Seattle on Saturday, and so should you.

Bet the farm, the house, the kids and the wife on Seattle and lay the 3.5 pts.

Gosh make up your mind. You said it was a lock at 3 1/2 on Seattle.. Yet you have flip flopped to Washington.

Better stay with your first thought. Redskins are not a great team. They are playing well at this point, but to travel to Seattle is a different ballgame than playing the Cowgirls who had NOTHING to play for.

Yeah the Cowboys sure acted like they had nothing to play for, playing their starters for a half and a bit of the 3rd until they realized they were getting owned and folded.

Last two Super Bowls were won not by a #1 seed but a team that got hot at the right time. Washington could make the Super Bowl if they keep playing this hot but I don't think they can beat any of the 6 AFC teams save for maybe the ans. If there's one team that is not a great team and doesn't deserve to be playing in the month of January, it's the Tennessee ans.

  22. #47
Redskins have two "real season" victories since the Boys last got theirs.
Doesn't matter in a rivalry of this caliber. The suck ass team can rear up and beat the elite team, or have you forgotten the 1-15 1989 Cowboys? I don't think you could call them anything BUT suck ass, and they beat the playoff bound Skins.

I am sorry the Colts were not a hot team going into the Playoffs last year. They lost 3 out of their last 5 games.
ANd last I checked they won the superbowl last year. As a Colts fan I am shocked that you would forget so easy that the Colts were playing like crap last year ending the reg season

    ANd just incase you forgot.

Heck they went .500 in their last 8 games. that is not a hot team IMO
    Nov 12 - Buffalo - W (17-16)
    Nov 19 - at Dallas - L (14-21)

The Cowboys starters had to play a half or else they would have had 3 weeks of no game time. As it was they were completely disinterested and without many starting pieces, so I have no doubts they will be much, much better next week. The skins still have Todd Collins at QB, and more than likely he turns to trash today. I'm thinking we see the Giants or Bucs in Texas Stadium next week.
