If you drive an SUV, you probably can't.

It would be hyprocritical, wouldn't it?

Well if I were to subscribe to your belief then a family of six who drives a minivan or SUV would be eliminated from ever talking about conserving gas. So no it wouldn't. I also find this argument that Gore is a hypocrite because he takes private jets when he travels is ridiculous. The DUDE is a former VP and needs extra tight security especially with all of the Yoni's and xray's of the world harrasing him on a plane. I would also venture to guess that he simply can't jump on a bike and ride down mainstreet.. I guess if he had 6 secret service agents riding along with him.. this idea that you can't support something because you fly in private jets or that you are rich is prepeosterous.. you have fallen into the right wing talk radio brainwashing..

Tha fact of the matter is, that if a "true" socialist as you put it spoke up for the poor, you wouldn't care.
Th fact is that you are wrong.

no economic system solves the problem of poverty more than capitalism. Look at what is happening in China. Jobs cure poverty.

If John Edwards wants to create jobs, he ought to use his money to start a company and employ people.

my candidate wants to have the best education system with free lunch for poor kids. Then create huge apartment complexs for single mothers that provides daycare.

No hybrid minivans or SUVs? If you are really committed to conserving gas, you probably don't buy an SUV, regardless of how many kids you have.

I also find this argument that Gore is a hypocrite because he takes private jets when he travels is ridiculous.

You also find ridiculous that Edward's mansion uses x times more gas that the regular American household?

The DUDE is a former VP and needs extra tight security especially with all of the Yoni's and xray's of the world harrasing him on a plane.

No. Such a manner of living is necessary to generate the cult of personality which will be required to obtain proletariat support for the measures pursuant to the aggravation of the class struggle.

I like Edwards, but I thought this article was funny -

The Hardest Working Man in Politics

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa—There's a classic stunt James Brown used to pull at the end of his shows. After playing his last song, handlers would come out, throw a shawl over his shoulders, and hustle him off stage, as if to say, Come on James, the show's over. But just as he reached the edge of the stage, he would toss off the blanket, run back out and start dancing again. The crowd devoured it.

John Edwards has perfected a political version of the James Brown. At the end of an event in Fairfield, Iowa, Edwards told the audience, "They told me not to take questions"—"they" apparently being his killjoy campaign staff—"but I'm gonna do it anyway." Grateful applause ensues. Same thing at the end of a Q&A session here in Mount Pleasant. An aide cut in, "Senator—" "We have time for one more," Edwards cheerfully interrupted. He even tried it during impromptu availability aboard the press bus, while delivering coffee to baggy-eyed reporters. "It's time to go," said an aide, to which Edwards responded, "No, let's do this now."

It's one of the oldest tricks around, but somehow it never fails to delight. And with zero hour approaching, it never hurts to throw off the cape and dance for one more minute.

    Not really.
So how does a family of six get around without a hydrid minivan or SUV?
I'd like an answer to this because it's easy to say they shouldn't drive them so give us the alternative if there are no hybrids available or if buying one is cost prohibitive.
I guess they could give up owning a car but then the kids would have to ride the school bus .. oh dear those busses use alot of gas... i guess they just walk everywhere..

I still don't see the your point in Edwards living in a big house. usually bigger homes have larger utility bills. do they have large homes in argentina? I don't get how this makes him a hypocrite

It makes him a hypocrite because that's who they fear most has the best chance to make the boldest change that is needed and the best chance of beating all republicans.

I love to run over poor people in my SUV. Although I'm getting poor gas mileage, I'm doing my part in helping eliminate poverty.

We have much more to worry about that they so called
"poor". Being poor in most cases is a transitional state
of life anyhow. What I am telling you is that in most
cases people do not stay poor they move on up the
    earning ladder.

And SA210 don't start on the poor homeless junk. Most
of those folks have exactly what they want. In the
past they were called bums. Now the PC term is
    homeless.

Go talk to your Liberal Federal courts about that problem.
They are the ones that create it. Of course you would know
that if you did more than just post here.

This, of course, explains why all mental ins utions in this country have been closed.

I'd be really interested in seeing an opinion or order from a federal court holding that it's somehow uncons utional to ins utionalize a person who is clearly mentally-ill.
