They have played good teams on the road. They didn't win them.
They can only play the schedule.

Utah 3-1
Thye are better then thier record suggest. That record in the East would be good enough for the 4th seed.
It's nice to see my hometown team playing well again. But I don't expect anything great this year or next.
Wait till the '09-'10 season and see if they are an elite team by then, or back to underachievers.
Hopefully they'll be one of the elite.
That only means that being a fourth seed in the East doesn't mean a team is good. Poor argument.
Utah is not a good team this season. And, their record reflects that.
Plus last season they took everyone by surprise. It was the first time in a few years the Jazz were healthy. I think this season teams are taking them more seriously. But they do need to keep pace because if thier record is identical to the Blazers for a playoff spot Portland has the tiebreaker by virture of winning the season series.
re:utah jazz
it does mean they are better than 11 other teams and only worse than 3 others out east, which is nothing to be proud of. their record, furthermore, was inflated early this season by playing weaker opponents and have stumbled against better opposition. they still have a very weak interior presence.
had you mentioned the fact that portland defeated the nuggets twice in one week, it would have made a better argument because of denver's massive big men who aren't afraid to put the hurt on people.
They won at Denver.
Ok, the Blazers have one decent win on the road against a fraud Denver team. You got me.
Well, as long as you admit I got you it's all good.

But they are and I am- going to brag that is.
Gutsy win by the Raps against a near relentless, very impressive Portland squad.![]()
Props to you guys too. I was truly impressed.
We'll get a better gauge on the Blazers with this road trip. A few tough games against New Jersey, Boston, Orlando, Atlanta, and New Orleans. I'd be curious to see if they can go better than .500 on this 7 game trip. Already one down with the Toronto loss.
I agree with that. I think the only games I see as wins are Atlanta,Miami. I am not so sure about New Jersey and I doubt they can get one in Boston.
The Blazers are very young so it will be tough to get road wins for us. We're still good though.
They are going to be a great team.
