He's just giving some players more playing time than they'd normally get, giving them valuable experience they'll need in May/June. I don't know the specifics of playing time but it sure seems to me like I've seen a lot of Jacque Vaughn, for example, this year. And lord knows, he needs the experience. I've only been following the Spurs a short while and most years I look at 'em in January and think, 'no way are they going to win the west, much less a le.' etc etc. Waaay to early to panic.
