Sore loser? Sacramento played great and deserved to win. Martin IS a borderline All Star in the West. Seriously, how many off-guards are better than him in the West? Kobe, Ginobili, Roy, healthy McGrady. That's just off the top of my head. In the East he'd have a better chance of making the squad. He's not going to shoot 14-16 from the field every single night. That's a HOF-caliber game he played. He just couldn't miss. Does he do that every single night?

Sacramento played out of their minds and pulled out the win. Dallas played ty and deserved to lose.

Nothing to look forward to? Doesn't the Josh Daniels Band have a gig on the sidewalk outside of Supercuts in Richardson this Friday? Oh wait, Jeff isn't in the band anymore.

Dirk always chokes and folds under pressure.

Remember, you're "DazedAndConfused," not SpursDynasty, so you'll have to avoid calling this shot a fluke or saying the refs gave Dallas all the calls. No surprises there.

Dirk's career regular season averages: 22 and 8 on 47% shooting.

Dirk's career playoff averages: 25 and 11 on 45% shooting.

He actually tends to raise his game when it matters. So once again juice, you don't know what the you're talking about. For every Miami or Golden State, there's a Phoenix, San Antonio, Sacramento and Portland as well.

Borderline All-Stars have great games every once in a while. It didn't hurt that nobody on the Mavericks could guard him, as you aptly pointed out.

Even scrubs can have amazing 14-16 nights, the HOF players distinguish themselves by being able to put up those numbers time and time again.

Kevin Martin isn't a scrub s. I don't hold him in as high regard as fillmoe, but the dude can ball.

That's one missed free throw in Game Three. He played great in Games Five and Six. How many active players have led their team to a Finals appearance? Spurs fans of all people should realize how specious it is to claim that Dirk never comes through in the clutch. Dumbass.

Regular season games under a microscope and the assumption that Dallas is somehow "choking again this season" by losing a single game to the Kings on a last-second shot is some of the most asinine I've ever seen. And it's mostly drummed up by Kings fans realize this victory may be the pinnacle of their season. I don't understand why there needs to be any big to-do about any regular season game, especially one taking place even before the All-Star break. Yeah, there are some nice tiffs when the Mavs play the Spurs, the Warriors, Suns, etc. but the fanbases understand that it's mostly for 24 hours worth of chest thumping. Get over it already.

Dirk is a clutch player he just missed a couple of free throws in the finals. He lit up the Spurs in 2006.
And Wade missed TWO free throws in the final seconds of Game Six that would've iced the le and gave Dallas one last chance, but the refs refused to call Payton for fouling Terry when he pulled down his shorts on the last-second three attempt.

That missed free throw by Dirk would've sent the game into OT, it wouldn't have won the game. Dirk has had two high-profile bad series, but among active players, here are the guys who have "led" their teams to a le:

    Shaq, Duncan, Wade, Billups, Kobe.

And here are the active guys that have "led" their team to a Finals Appearance:

    Iverson, Kidd, Dirk, LeBron.

He's in pretty elite company. I'm not about to argue that he played his best ball against Miami and Golden State, but I've never understood the disproportionate amount of hate he gets. He's far more clutch and has far more skins on the wall than most players in the League.

Dirk will always be known as a choker until he gets a ring, similar to how Peyton Manning was ridiculed before he got his. Is it fair, probably not, but that's just the way it is.

He'll be known as a choker by asinine media types. Is it accurate? Nope, and I hope it doesn't bother him. People are blaming the Cowboys loss on Jessica Simpson.

Reggie Theus is showing me a lot as a first year coach.

Sacramento is missing Bibby, has no inside presence at all, and has been performing decently this season. To me the Kings, talent-wise, should only have about 8 or 9 wins at this point...tops.

No, but he has shot 21-25 over the last two games. All the comparisons to Kobe/TMac/Manu aren't really fair. Martin hasn't been in the league nearly as long as them.
