Carlos Arroyo, Steve Francis, Nate Robinson, Quinn, I could go on and on...
, I would not take starters Jason Williams or Rafer Alston over Vaughn
Chris Quinn is Jason Williams' backup in Miami. Mike James is Rafer Alston's backup in Houston.
Get your facts straight, jack@ss.
Still waiting.
P.S.
Jan 24 West did not play Wednesday as he appears to be the odd man out in coach P.J. Carlesimo's shortened rotation. Carlesimo is limiting the rotation to nine or 10 players. With two point guards (Luke Ridnour, Earl Watson) already playing, there is little room left for West.

And that's why you are a re .
Half those guys start and all of them are way better.
ok Ghost Whiner, you go win a championship with Williams or little Nate as your backup PGs LOL
Beno has played well in Sac when he was getting starters minutes. He didn't seem to have any confidence with his limited role in San Antonio.
Nate plays with heart but he is too small and will get abused by the bigger better pgs in the league in the playoffs.
Gladly!
J-Will has a ring as a starter, jerk0ff.
Nate is one of the few bright spots on the Knicks.
As long as Vaughn doesn't shoot anything other than a wide open mid range jumper and facilitates ball movement within the offense he's the ideal backup PG for the Spurs. You can't just look at the player from a stats or one on one matchup perspective, you have to look at what their role is for their team. Vaughn's role is not to put up numbers, his role is to facilitate ball movement with the 2nd unit to set up Manu, Udoka, Barry, etc. On defense he's exactly what Pop wants at the PG position for the 2nd unit. Face it, he's the backup PG for this season and more than likely next as well. Pop loves the guy because he plays his role fairly consistently and doesn't take away touches from the scorers.
He always hits his open jumpers. You must not watch many Spurs games, or your just a hater.
Vaughn > JWill, jackass
Jason Williams is better than Jaques Vaughn.
Kill yourself.
Ricky Davis for the Miami Heat. Period, jerk off!
Vaughn is shooting 44% and 4 points a game.
Hits his open jumpers, my @ss.
White Chuckolate shoots 38% and makes $9,000,000.00.
since when is 44% a bad clip?
Jacque Vaughn is hard working, smart, hustling, reliable, and he does hit open jumpers consistently. He does the job for the Spurs and as long as he is cool in Pops book, who gives a F*CK what you think.
go head, pick up delonte. he'll be your problem now
On shots between 15 to 18 feet, Vaughn has hit a very good percentage as a Spur. In fact, he might hit those shots at a higher percentage than anyone on the team.
I'm not a big Vaughn fan overall because I think his defense is overrated and sometimes he doesn't pass quickly enough. However, I dislike him because he doesn't hit jumpers. That's just inaccurate.
And while I'm not a huge Vaughn fan, for what they are paying him he's better than anyone else the Spurs could get. You could try to find a young second round pick or something but that player isn't going to bring Vaughn's leadership or his willingness to accept his role.
It's fine to be a Vaughn playa hata, Ghost, but at least hate him for valid reasons.
I hate him because he sucks... open jumpers or not.
Still waiting for a worse backup.
Anyone?
at least you have a backup PG
ppl already mentioned tons of worse backups. it seems you're all alone on this one
Delonte is shooting 40%![]()
Pistons - Flip Murray/Rodney Stuckey
Clippers - Dan au
Jazz - Jason Hart
Hawks - Acie Law
Game Over.
he also is a great defender and always brings energy
