Also, the le of the article isn't "Spurs miss playoffs?"
The le of the article is "As usual Spurs will hit stride soon. Or will they?"
Yeah..I would laugh my ass off.

Where is the caveat of injuries being mentioned in this paragraph? You miss out on any of the big 3 not performing to their normal outputs and if the others don't back them, then WTF?San Antonio began the year looking like champions, roaring out of the gate 17-3. Since then, they're only 11-12, and it's not a particularly good 11-12. Thirteen of the games were at home, and only one of the victims had a winning record.
The Spurs will not miss the playoffs. They're in a funk. A bad one.
Did anybody read the article? He didn't do anything but state obvious facts and concerns that all honest Spurs fans deal with.
I don't think it will be the Spurs, but two good teams in the West will miss the playoffs.
what kind of troll are you? same thing yesterday night in the chat? you're about to get owned so just call this a friendly warning![]()
Guys, read the article.
Hollinger flat out stated that the model doesn't account for the fact that Spurs historically plays better after the RRT.
Can the Spurs miss the playoffs? Of course, it is still mathematically possible, especially with the West so strong this year, it's just not that probable, and we all know it.
At the end of the year, Spurs repeat, ship #5.
Same thing as last year at this time and Check the trophy case.
Spurs fans are ultra-sensitive people. Goodness.
Well it's funny how you guys throw Hollinger under the wheel. He has been a great supporter for both Duncan and Manu for a couple of years. Last year he had the audacity to say the Spurs would win the rings since the beginning, and then said it again before the playoffs. By March he was saying that despite records, the Spurs were playing the best ball in the league, when they won they blew people off and when they lost it was by a bounce or two. So now the situation is wayyyyy different. They got rolled over by the freaking Hornets. When was the last time that the Spurs had a 11-12 stretch? The spurs have been relatively healthy in January as well so stop hiding behind injuries. The funny thing is that even the big 3 is lodging heavy minutes, which hasn't been the case the last two years. It's easy to say after every loss that it's just january, but no one can deny that it in this january the Spurs are playing probably the worst ball since the 97 season when they tanked to get Duncan.
I've already said...I hope we have the worst record of any team in the playoffs this year...
I like this draft and there will be lottery talent available to some of the playoff teams with the worst record.
I absolutely do not care if the Spurs have HCA or not...

Owned huh? Please, go for it. No warning is needed. Troll? You don't even know what the your talking about, so my advice to to you is to STFU.
They're a year late if they plan on tanking for a good pick. Robinson was drafted on '87, and Duncan in '97. If they tank in '08....that'll throw off the pattern!
i hope the spurs in read this and get their asses in gear
maybe a the Spurs do miss the playoffs, at least we can then hope for a #1 pick
Roy Hibbert or Hansborough anyone?
Neither is a #1 pick.
Just because we miss the playoffs doesn't mean we will have anywhere near a good chance at a #1 pick...
I would not be that surprised if the Spurs fell out of the top eight in the West by the end of the Rodeo road trip- the West is that good and they are playing that bad. If they can get healthy, clearly the talent still exists to not only make the playoffs but make another run at the le. The 17-3 start shows what is possible...it was no fluke. The injuries and lack of continuity combined with better compe ion have put this team in a bad spot. They were old and unathletic last year, yet managed to still get it done. Writing them off again would be a mistake-that's why Hollinger is hedging. He knows better.
Last season. The Spurs went 13-12 over a nearly-identical stretch.
If we get a #1 pick we're not wasting it on those guys.
Beasley or Rose FTW.
I remember the 1997 Spurs. Pop had that team, sans David, Sean, and Chuck, playing hard every night. They did not tank. Their suckiness was all natural.
You'll have to indulge me here ...
Playoffs? PLAYOFFS!? Are you serious!? ... Playoffs?
I'll be happy if we win A GAME! Playoffs!?
