Nothing more needs to be said.
These two songs made me a huge fan of Animal Collective:
(but it was Leaf House that got me hooked first)
Leaf House:
Who Win A Rabbit:
The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
Slayer - Dead Skin Mask
You know I was thinking...pretty much every artist I like, at one point made at least one song that made me a fan them.
It's actually pretty amazing when you think about it.
Not the hugest Prince fan, but he's an amazing songwriter. I appreciate him more in an era that has had its songwriting dragged through the mud and shot in the back of the head by the filth that wrote for Britney and Friends for the past decade.
Goo Goo Dolls - "Name", from the before-Johnny-Cut-His-Hair-Era. "Iris" is their crown jewel, though.
Of course. Everyone has that moment they hear a song on the radio and ask their friends, "Hey, who is this?" And when you find out, you go buy the CD. Well, at least that's what I did until I became the poor sonofa I am now.
I guess in the modern era, you'll be riding in your friend's daddy's Beamer, listening to what's on his iPod playing through the stereo and hearing a song you're the last person on the face of the earth to hear, repeat the aforementioned scenario whilst replacing buying the CD with downloading it on LimeWire.
Great freaken Song!!! The Beatles are one of a kind. Can't get enough of the Beatles.
Su ious Minds- Elvis Presley. Older Elvis over younger Elvis...any day of the week.
