The Lakers are 1 game better then the Spurs yet are an A+ to a C-.

And we're listening to this stick why?
the grade is based on what ws expected from the teams before the season simlpy put no one expected lakers to be this good thus they have a higer grade.

Career-high in assists and career-high best assist-to-turnover ratio say otherwise.

Saying this right after the Toronto game is laughable.

That's true of every bigman of all-time. He's tall. The ball bounces high.

Both Tony and Manu are averaging career highs this season...As for Manu, what about his 46 pt game vs Cleveland...he basically beat the entire team(with LeBron and Hughes playing excellent basketball). And no comment about Timmy...what is he talking about?

This has to be one of the worst assessments...

I'm sure Rosen got the memo.

He obviously doesn't understand the Laws of the Universe or SPAM.

Honestly, I think he is looking at the standings a little too much.

The only teams deserving of A+ are Boston and New Orleans.

The thing many writers don't recognize is the fact that the Spurs play to level of their oppenent during the regular season. Take the first half of tonight's game (Bobcats) as an example. When we play celler dwellers like Charlotte, we use a minimal amount of effort. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but we're not going to waste ourselves over a sub .500 team.

Pop's also messing around with the rotations, whereas alot of teams have already set their rotations.

Why didn't he just come out and say:

    San Antonio Spurs: C-
Because I don't give a damn about them, and I just think they suck.

Parker's assist to turnover ratio had to be insane the first two months of the season. I'm not sure what team Charley Rosen wasn't watching.

i don't see why people read rosen.

hes a hypocrite, his basketball "insights" are truly ridiculous, and even his writing style is difficult to understand and follow.

how does this guy still have a job?

    .

    SAN ANTONIO: C-

OK, perhaps they're simply lying in the weeds and waiting for the playoffs to commence before springing to life. What's much more likely is that the Spurs can't draw blood at will anymore. Even when Tony Parker was healthy, he was reverting to the mistake-prone game plan of his younger days. Manu Ginobili can't carry an offense for entire ball games. TD is still bothered by double teams after he's put the ball on the floor. Nor is their defense as consistent at it has been. Even more significant are the number of brain-locked mistakes the Spurs are making in clutch situations. Like TD fouling a driver — count it, and one — with the Spurs up by three and only a few seconds on the clock. And so on.

    .
If anything, spur's 4th quarter finsihes have been pretty good. more-so of late. Rosen's going with one example and summazing

Rosen gives Lakers an A+ and knocks the Spurs and Suns... no surprises here.
