bonzi = spur killer
It is confirmed in houston chronicle, but not a done deal yet.
I consider the Hornets the favorite in the West now. Lakers are right there as well.
chronicle suggests rox could waive a player and make a move for m.miller or some and still be under the lux tax...
chron mentioned no names though.

With the deal, the Rockets will move under the luxury tax and might have an opportunity to make another roster move. Also with the deal, they move their player salaries under the luxury tax threshold of $67.865 million by enough that if there is a player available they would want to add, they could release a player to create a roster spot and sign a free agent to a pro-rated salary for the rest of the season without incurring a luxury tax penalty.
That would be nice if they mentioned some. There aren't many deals that make sense for Memphis.
What the . I understand he's not exactly a wonderful little darling when it comes to personality, but he was playing really good for Rick Adelman in the Rocket games I watched.
goddam, all west teams must make a deal?
you summed up about 95% of clutchfans.net
avg'ing 9 pts? being a fat ass and a headcase? he ain't getting
When T-Mac was with the Magic, didn't him and Bobby Jackson get into a fight.
The scary part for the West is this massively upgrades the one thing the Hornets were truly lacking as a team: a legitimate player for their 2nd unit.
Hornets ahve no experience, but all the pieces now.
Popovich was right: some of these trades are just so lopsided it's having an impact on the balance of power in the league in a way it really shouldn't.
Here it is.

Mcgrady lost![]()
The only reason this trade makes sense is that they get a backup pt guard behind Alston. This leaves room to move Brooks and a host of other scrubs to the Kings for...
ARTEST!
Gawd I hope this is true...otherwise now I know what it feels like to trade a good player to a division rival for nothing!! Arghhh!!
Considering your username, the only possible reaction I could have to this is...

Next trade for the Rockets: Yao Ming for Darko Milicic.
thats trade was finalized late last night, B-Scott probably said to HOU hold out on announcing it so B-jax can light of the Mavs
I like the trade for the Hornets, dont know what the Rockets are doing, Wells was playing well off the bench. Why would you make a deal with a team in your division? Rockets are idiots
Only reason on how i can see the rockets doing it is to dump James' contract
I am perplexed as to why the Rockets would do this move. OK so you want to cut salary and dump some players that weren't doing so hot in your system. Nothing wrong with that. Just don't give them away to your ing division rivals and make them instantly better by solving their only glaring deficiency. ing morons.
I cant find any team willing to take on Mike James' horrendous contract without throwing in Bonzi to sweeten the pot
Hornets will spank the out of the Spurs. I hope we don't meet them in the playoffs.
This is a done deal:
The New Orleans Hornets announced today that they have acquired guard/forward Bonzi Wells, guard Mike James, and cash considerations from the Houston Rockets in exchange for guard Adam Haluska, guard Bobby Jackson, forward Marcus Vinicius and a 2008 second round pick. As part of the three-team deal, the Memphis Grizzlies will receive Vinicius, the rights to Malick Badiane and cash considerations in exchange for the rights to Sergei Lishouk.
