How could Miami trade Marion? Doesn't the CBA only allow a traded player to be traded only on the first day he's with his new team, and only in a 1-for-1 swap with no picks, cash, etc?
sounds like Nene to heat could be a done deal for Jwill.
Should pave the way for Artest now
only 'sources' at the moment though

Chad Ford: (1:24 PM ET ) Maybe ... call was about Ben Wallace in a possible deal with the Cavs. I've got to stress that it was from what I'd call a third party source ... not someone directly involved in the negotiations. So ... take it with a grain of salt ... but interesting ...
Chad Ford: (1:25 PM ET ) The deal as I heard it ... by the way ... had Drew Gooden, Ira Newble, Shannon Brown and Cederic Simmons coming back to Chicago.
I dunno. I don't know if there was any changes, but I remember Rasheed was traded to the Hawks and actually played a game before being traded to the Pistons.
Orlando just acquired Andre Miller according to ESPN Radio.
Andrew Cleveland,Ohio: Is the Chicago-Cavs deal final?
Chad Ford: (1:55 PM ET ) No ... I want to stress that. What we've heard is that they have had talks. That's it. We all keep hearing that they've also been talking to Seattle about Wally Szczerbiak too. Not sure what's up with that.
it's just Ferry spinning his tires to make it look like he tried
If that's true, it's a great pickup for Orlando. Miller will alley-oop to Howard all ing day.
That's what I have heard, too.
They can be traded by themselves at any time, but cannot be included in a package for 2 months. And of course, he can't be traded back to the Suns, period.
It isn't, don't worry.
Chad Ford: (2:15 PM ET) We have multiple confirmations about the Bulls-Cavs talking. The hang-up seems to be the Cavs insisting that Larry Hughes be in the deal. If that's dropped, I'm told Bulls would agree.
Seems pretty quiet for only a half hour left. Plenty of time, I know, but not much out there rumor wise.
looks like Artest to Denver wont happen........bugger
thought that Nene for Jwill was done but i guess not
Man, this trade deadline sucked ass. I can't believe no teams made any major moves this season.
Ric Bucher says Donyell Marshall and Ira Newble to the Sonics for Wally Szczerbiak if the Ben Wallace deal goes down.
Hughes and Wallace means no Lebron in 2010, all the money will be spent
Raptors trying to get Warriors Pietrus for Dixon and Graham
Thursday, Feb 21, 2008 12:12 pm EST
The Toronto Raptors, meanwhile, are working the phones in advance of the trade deadline. There were rumblings Wednesday night that Toronto GM Bryan Colangelo has been talking with his Golden State Warriors counterpart, Chris Mullin, about sending Juan Dixon and Joey Graham to the Bay Area for swingman Mickael Pietrus.
The 6-foot-6 Pietrus certainly won't help the Raptors much in the rebounding department, the club's biggest need, but he is a slasher and a solid defender at the small forward position, and they definitely could use another defender.

artest to denver is dead. Front Office decided to back Karl on this one coz he was so against it
GK is a moron and i hope he is fired after this season when the Nuggets miss the playoffs
I don't get these Cleveland rumors at all. Ben Wallace? Are you freaking kidding me, Ferry?
he has to do something to try to keep ego james happy
Toronto Raptor: Pietrus. Yes or No?
Chad Ford: (2:14 PM ET ) No
Gerald Green traded to Houston for Kirk Snyder.
Von Wafer traded to Portland for Taurean Green.
Looks like they may get West/Wilkins for Eddie
