The only teams in the West that can win it all, IMO are the Rockets, Lakers and Spurs....the rest are just playoff fodder.

Bobby Jackson's debut highlights (made by batkins @ Clutchfans.net):
I say he will fit in pretty well![]()
I always liked Bobby Jackson when he was a King.
Good pick up. NO is stupid.![]()
...
they aint stupid. they got what they want (depth) and we got what we want (a back-up PG who know the offense and salary cap freedom).
A win-win trade
Bobby Jackson was for real yesterday. The Rockets were raining threes in the fourth.
You got the most injury prone back-up PG in the NBA. NOH got Bonzi and Mike James.
A lose-lose trade.
Newsflash: Mike James sucks. He makes Rafer Alston look like a hall of fame point guard. Bonzi only tries when he wants to, which is one out of every 4 or 5 games.
Bonzi is in his contract year, He will try.
Heads-Up for non-Rockets fans:
Tonight, Yao, TMac and the Houston Rockets will host Antawn Jamison and the Washington Wizards, who came off an impressive victory over the New Orleans Hornets Yesterday. Tip-off is at 7:30PM CT
The Rockets are now 2.5 games ahead of the Golden State Warriors and 3 games over the Denver Nuggets.
GO ROCKETS!!!!![]()

OKAY MAYBE NOT YAO BUT STILL.... GO ROCKETS![]()

yao sitting out tonight with a banged up ankle. he might sit out the next game too. i'm glad he is doing this. there is no reason to play him against these teams. get healthy big man!
He's out for the season. Foot fracture.
Hey, you guys just called up Bobby Jones from the D-League. Are you waiving Haluska or something like that?
we did waive him![]()
It would be interesting to see if the Vipers get a chance to pick him up, though they need a big man more than another guard.
Our priority now is to make the playoffs and get some playoff experiences for our rookies, although it would be nice if we can make it to the 2nd round
KEEP THE HOPES UP MY FELLOW ROCKETS FANS!
With Yao out for the season, the Rockets came out with fire as the Rockets extend their 13 game winning streak with an dominating 96 - 69 victory over the Washington Wizards. Their defense was especially impressive as the Rockets hold the the Wizards to a franchise-low 23 points at half-time. Dikembe Mutombo was the X factor tonight as he blocked 4 shots to set the tone for the Rockets Defense.

Sorry Rocketfan.
Start counting ping pong balls.
Rockets only need to go 14-12 the rest of the way to get 50 wins. I'd say they still have a pretty good chance to make the playoffs. Maybe even an outside chance of winning in the first round if they land the right matchup.
they will still make the playoffs. we still have a very solid team outside of yao.
No offense to you Rocket fans, you guys had a terrible break.
With Yao, I think you could have made some noise this year...great streak going on 13.
But if the Rockets make the Playoffs at #8 seed, every team will be killing each other to get that #1 spot to play you. You can't make up for the loss of Yao.
your team wants to play us more than the Warriors or the Nuggets? Even if we cant beat your team we can still tire your team with our superior defense.
I think every team will be killing each other to play the Nuggets, then it will be a toss up between the Warriors, the Hornets and the Rockets. the Jazzholes have shown us last year that any team with well structured offense and defense can beat the Warriors, you just need tough minded players to play in the Oracle Arena
I don't know. I have a feeling the doomsday predictions may be a little premature. Losing Yao was a punch in the gut, but i've watched every Rockets game this season. We are a lot better talentwise than people believe and i think it will show very soon. Will we miss Yao? Yes. Are we a lottery team? no!!!
It's true...you never really know. I was thinking that the Rockets w/Yao would have a tough time with RA's offense...and they did at first, but he and the team both adjusted well to each other.
Without Yao I think the Rockets might play a bit more loose. They really won't have anything to lose and can take that underdog mentality into every game. If they get underestimated by someone because Yao is out I think the Rockets can capitalize on it.
Matchup mean everything...but the certainly still have enough talent to do what GS did last year if they play with a chip on their shoulders. That, of course, would require TMac to take over ala Baron Davis.
