I know I am a blind homer but... GINOBILI
CP3 will have accomplished the most if the Hornets finish with a top-3 record in the West.
LeBron will have stats that speak for themselves.
I'd have no problem with either one of them.
I know I am a blind homer but... GINOBILI
Yeah, precisely.
Howard after that, then Garnett.
Paul deserves that, however kobe will win it.
kg? I'd prefer to timmy.

Paul is putting up 20 points and 10 assists per game...that doesn't happen very often. I think KJ might have done it once...Magic...maybe Nate Archibald before that...it hasn't been done very often.
And he runs his team. Runs it...completely.
He's definitely the MVP.
It won't be a travesty if LeBron wins it, but I think Paul truly deserves the award. He's an awesome player.
Manu is leading but kobe, lebron, duncan, kg, paul, boozer n yao are still close
We'd all prefer Duncan over Garnett for MVP awards but between the two there is not a contest for Garnett taking it over Duncan.
... but Finals MVP?![]()
Kobe will get it. He's due.
Even though Pau Gasol and Bynum's emergence are more responsible for the Lakers success.
I wouldn't mind Garnett getting one though.
Kobe with the way he has grown this year as a leader. His trust in his teamates and finally having the right pieces around him to do it has really made his teamates believe in themselves. It is a thing of beauty.
Manu Ginobili - He's averaging more than 31 pts off the bench and now increased it while playing as a starter with the Spurs. If the spurs end up somewhere between no. 2 and 3 in the western conference , I think it's fair that our Manu be given a chance to be on that short list.
Considering however the bureacrazy in the NBA, I probably think that either Paul of Bryant will wind up the winner.
Kobe is a lock to win it because:
1) 55-60 win season and possible #1 seed in the crazy hard West
2) Every player was having a career season even before Pau showed up
3) Willing to have permanent hand/broken finger damage just to lead his team into the Playoffs
4) At the same time Lebron sat out a bunch of games because of a sprained hand
5) He's long overdue

LeBron no discussion needed. Manu has to be in hunt for 2nd place if system was not based on soley popularity.
I guess this means the trade deadline has passed.
1)Kobe
2)Lebron
3)CP3
4)KG
It is about marketing, certainly Manu's nose is less markeatable than Steve Nash' look and Dirk's tongue ... I still going with LBJ ... tennis shoes are importante, Yao is another ption chinese people are billions ... the real one ...
LBJ, KB ...
Lebron is having a great individual season. But his teal is #4 in the east and they have the 13th record in the league. If the MVP is still the best player in the best team or at least in a top 3 team. There is no way he receives it... or someone will have to explain Kobe why he didn't received the MVP in his 81 pts year.
As the standings are, the MVP should play in Boston, Detroit, LA, San Antonio or NO.
The true candidate are KG (or Pierce), Billups (or Hamilton), Kobe, Ginobili, Duncan, Paul.
The debate should be between Kobe and Paul, I vote for Paul but to be honnest Kobe really deserves it.
One more thing, GINOBILI is my MVP
if all the contenders continue to play at their present level :
It will be Lebron James unless :
- the lakers are the n°1 in the west at the end of the season (in this case, it will be Kobe)
- the cavs fall deep in the east (it also will be Kobe)
Kobe or LeBron will win the MVP this year
Manu is my MVP because:
1) He don't want/need popularity. He know who he is.
2) Unselfish, intelligent and compe ive as .
3) He knows what the team need from him (coming of the bench or starting)
4) He's an ANTI-statistics player: he hates that and don't care about how many points - rebounds - steals - 3pts or career highs he made.
5) Mmm... Manu looks happy without a MVP![]()
CP has played really great, but the the Hornets have played the 2nd easiest schedule in the Western Conference up to this point (only Phoenix has had an easier schedule in the west). The Lakers have played the toughest schedule up to this point of any of the top 9 Western Conference teams. And LBJ plays in the East (numbers get inflated in the Least).
I think 1) Kobe or 2) Lebron deserve (but give all the teams 20 more games and then we will see - maybe CP will be "the man" and mow over the rest of the West)
I agree with you if koby and garnett get it is because of the hype of the media like always
Yeah, because Kobe's game is all about hype.....please. If Lebron's team plays better, he'll get it because of the crazy stats. However if the Lakers win close to 60 games, than Kobe's a lock.
We all know it's not all about Stats....Kobe averaged 36, 6 and 5 2 years ago and finished 3rd in voting. His team actually won 45 games and made it to the playoffs. Still wasn't enough.
Lets get this straight Duncan out-rebounding Garnett by a ton, and scoring about the same on a team that was missing key pieces longer.
Garnett gets this award it is a shame. He could not even get a team to sniff the playoffs then gets with two stars and is carried again - just like his MVP year when Cassell won more games with clutch shots.
Garnett is not and should not ever be a MVP!
deserves it- LeBron, if you switched him with kobe, CP3, Nash, Dirk, KG, etc. the cavs wouldn't even come close to the current level of succes
will win it- Kobe, because he's good, really good. pisses me off.........
