Hands down my favorite Spurs memory is attending Game 7 against Detroit in person. So far the greatest day of my life.

2nd place would be Game 1 vs. the Knicks in 1999. I've NEVEER witnessed mass histeria and excitement on that scale before or since. That whole day I spent with my buddy down at Sunset Station drinking and listening to about 23 different mariachi bands before finally finding our upper deck seats and yelling ourselves hoarse.

Watching The Admiral's press conference after the 2003 championship. And, at this last river parade when Oberto was like a couple feet from me and gave me a thumbs up and kept the pose so I could get a picture.

    Games I attended:

    1. Game 6 -- 2003 Lakers Series. The "Crying Game." The Spurs end the Lakers bid for a "fourpeat" on the way to winning the le themselves. Kobe and Fisher wail away on the bench as reality sinks in.

    2. Game 7 -- 2005 Detroit Series. Best playoff series in Spurs history. Spurs were down most of the game until Manu almost single-handedly won it.

    3. Game 4 -- 1999 Lakers Series. Spurs sweep Shaq, Kobe and the Lakers on the way to their first le. They also close down the "Fabulous Forum" with a sweep in the last game ever played in the Showtime Lakers' playground. That bit of history can never be undone.

Same here. That was the most incredible game, the most exciting atmosphere and a great comeback. The Pistons to this day remain our greatest opponent in the finals. The Knicks, Nets and Cavs were all comic relief.

If I had to pick a non championship memory it would probably be Game 6 against the Lakers on our way to our first Championship. WE BLEW THEM OUT ON THEIR OWN FLOOR ! We shut down the Forum and ended the 3 year run. Kobe was crying and DFish was a mess.

    AWESOME.

Game 6 of the 2003 WCSF...Duncan putting on a clinic and the Spurs -slapping the Lakers out of the playoffs on their turf, all while ending their 3-peat

2005 @ Phoenix...the Spurs fight back from 17 down and win in Phoenix to claim the best record in the league. Ginobili with a career high 48 points

Unknown game...ex-Spurs Robinson shows up wearing a Ginobili jersey I love Robinson

2004 vs. the Pistons...Duncan slams over Ben Wallace dirty

2004 WCSF, Game 2 vs. Lakers...Parker then playoff career high 30 points topped off with a crossover that loses George and then a floater over O'Neal. That's when I knew Parker was going to be ing good

2003 @ Dallas...Tony Parker tear drop over Dirk and Shawn Bradley in a huge overtime win at Dallas

2003 vs. T-Wolves...I was at that game and Stephen Jackson burries a three pointer at the buzzer to send it into overtime

2003 WCF Game 6 @ Dallas...Jackson hits two threes in a row, including one where he steals it from Finley, trots up court, spots up at the line, nothing but pure swish. I get goosebumps every ing time I watch that sequence

Game 7, NBA Finals 2005 vs. Detroit...I can't explain something that satisfying. Although 2003 was by far my favorite, I can't even describe the satisfaction I felt seeing the Spurs win it 2005. That season, and that series, was a ing rollercoaster ride. The Spurs had the best record for much of the year, yet they battled injuries, a shaky road record amongst other things. Duncan sprained his ankle 4 or 5 times that season, including against Seattle in the second round. I thought the Spurs would lose that series against the Pistons...but they didn't.

NBA Finals 2005 Game 5...Horry burries a threepointer to give the Spurs a one point lead and later a seemingly impossible victory at Detroit.

1999 NBA Finals...I didn't watch the Spurs religiously like I do now but I remember watching the last few seconds of the last game and then seeing the paper the next day. Also, I got my first Spurs hat ever a couple of weeks later...a 1999 championshpi hat. The first step towards becoming a hardcore Spurs fan

2006 vs. Pistons...We lost this game by double digits. And we were down most of the game. But I will never forget how hard that Spurs team fought the Pistons, who were playing ing good at that time. They fought and fought and fought. And the Spurs fans in the audience stood up and applauded them several times, even though the Spurs were always in a deficit. Classic moment.

There are many, many more but those are the ones I remember right now.

Oh, and Game 6 vs. the Sonics in 2005.... that dirty ass team. Duncan sends them packing with a gamewinner floater off the backboard after spraining his ankle and scoring a load of points in the fourth.

All my Spurs memories are the greatest! But I really loved the 2005 River Parade when I was looking down from a bridge, and Pop cruised by, looked me in the eye, blew me a kiss and said "thanks"!

Doh !! You're right. Well, I have to merge those 2 games. They were both landmarks. I'll take the 2003 victory as it was the first playoff loss in the new building.

Knowone can forget this past years "controversial" series with Phoenix, when Bruce made that three in their corner and then gave Amare and the bench a glare while running back. Might not be an emotional memory but definiately one of the coolest. PHOENIX.....sorry.

Gotta be the Memorial Day Miracle for me.
My dad had passed away 2 years earlier and I'd have to say it was the first time I felt genuine joy in a long time.

    (11) Going to the WCF in 90 and 95. Dang, those were good teams.

I feel better now. I love these threads.[/QUOTE]

Spurs didn't go to WCF in 90. WCF was between Blazers and Suns!

Game two, '07 Finals. The first Finals game I ever attended involving the Spurs. Horry and TP played inspired ball and the Spurs won.

I also attended game six against Portland in '90. That was the loudest sporting event I ever attended. It was in the old Hemishpere arena. Spurs force game seven but lose in Portland when Rod Strickland attempted his infamous no-look pass to Sean Elliott.

The greatest Spurs memory I viewed on tv is the MDM.

Aside from the obvious championships answer.
I haven't been lucky enough to live in SA and go to lots of games but when I was younger, I would fine tune my radio to night games on WOAI all the way from KC, MO while I did my homework (my parents were very concerned about me). But one of my best memories is DRob's quadruple double.

2-17-1994 Detroit Pistons 96, San Antonio Spurs 115
    43 MP, 12-20 FG, 10-17 FT, 10 TRB, 10 AST, 2 STL, 10 BLK, 34 PTS.

    Awesome.
Tough question cause I've been around since their first game here. You can't take away the emotion of our very first Championship. The rest were icing on the cake, but I cried when we won the first one.

I like all the previous choices but most are relatively new memories and I'd like to add a couple from our storied past.

In the Spurs official history they say:

The 1981-82 season featured one game with the second-highest point total in NBA history. In a triple-overtime contest against Milwaukee at the HemisFair Arena, the Spurs pulled away with a 171-166 win, thanks to a 50-point performance from Gervin.

Let me tell you some backstory on that game. You know when a player makes 50 points that he's usually the only one with a big game. But the reason this game went into THREE overtimes was the duel between GG and Mike Newlin of the Bucks who was a noted shooter himself. These guys swapped baskets time after time and would alternate hitting shots to bring the game into a tie again and again.

The tension was palpable and as the game went on into the 3rd overtime the old Hemisphere Arena was in a frenzy with no one sitting down. The noise in that tiny old place was unbelievable.

GG won the battle with 50 points--but Newlin wound up with 45 himself. Imagine TWO guys in one game with over 40 points. I still have the autographed scorer's sheets from the game.
