To Jimmy's credit he seemed to learn his lesson from the Everett situation and at least is smart enough not to clown people who are gracious enough to go on his show anymore.
too many people jump on the "rome is a or a tool" bandwagon. His show is not that bad, and compared to other shows it really isn't that bad.
his radio show is entertaining and he can get some good guests on. Most of his takes (no matter how pompous they sound) are actually good takes.
If you have ever listened to his radio show you would know that he always talks about the Lakers. And thats cause he is in LA! Funny !

He gets some cool interviews though on a consistent basis. I can't really listen to his show b/c it is basically a bunch of dudes who bust inside jokes for 3 hours a day.

The fact he said our dynasty is over despite us still lingering at the top of the west is pathetic. I guess being a bag en les him to getting away with being a homer on national television.
All in all i still take him over that dirtbag Stephen A Smith who routinely likes to throw in what city he would like to be vacationing in as part of his so called critique of the teams. As if anyone gives a that he wants to be partying in Miami or LA, pretending he is not an ugly 40 year old still trying to act like he's 25.
Everett is/was a 6-5 220 lbs NFL QB. i dont give a one way or another about Rome but it takes balls to call him that when he knew he was going to piss the guy off.
The standings and the record of defending champion says otherwise.

I think Rome is pretty funny these days... and he always calls the Spurs a class act, especially when any Spur goes on his show.
fans care too much what other people think. it's not just spurs fans, it's mavs fans, suns fans, kings fans, and even laker fans (which is why i've been banned from lakersground for several years).

Rome has just as wide of a hate base than a fan base, besides the comment posted on his show was one of the less ignorant ones.
I used to be a Jim Rome fan because of his brash at ude. But over the years I've learned that he is no different than any other sports media :
1. If you're not a good or great player or team, he'll talk 2 tons of .
2. If you become a good or great player or team, he'll kneel down and blow you.
3. If you are a guest on one of his shows, he'll kneel down and blow you.
4. If you were once great but fell from grace for whatever reason, he'll conveniently forget that he was blowing you 5 seconds earlier. And he'll talk 2 tons of .
I used to listen to the show every day. Now I may catch it twice a year.
I don't really care what his take is, honestly. His show is mostly funny, except for maybe the idiots who call in rambling. But I don't listen to Rome much, except when Rush (to whom I normally listen) is in commercial, then I'll switch it over.
Attack of the Clones.
I'm pretty sure the Spurs are liking the fact that the media is giving the Lakers the edge in the Western Conference and acting like they are the defending champs. I always get worried when so called expert ESPN Analysts and tools actually pick the Spurs to win.
Besides, going for the Lakers is the "Sexy" choice. NBA Analysts on all these sports shows want ratings and they want attention, there's nothing that's going to excite fans and non-fans alike by picking the good, ol reliable Spurs.
So he got his ass kicked by a person he mocked as soft, what does that make him?

He probably did it on purpose for the publicity. What did he think was going to happen?? That he was going to get Jim Everett on his show, talk all kinds of to his face and he was going to take it. At the very least he was trying to bait him into a huge argument and got more than he expected.
Cry more San Antonio. The media isn't exclusively sucking your anymore. Get over it. And have fun failing to repeat -- again.
