Man, I'm gonna miss Favre, he was awesome.
Well, if he feels this should be the next step in his life then I'm sticking right by him. Take care, Brett. You were an amazing player.

    Finally.

So who's the best QB in the NFCN now?

It's like choosing between drowning, being buried alive, being eaten by a shark and being burned to death.

Favre is a baby and an attention . Way to help your team by never deciding on if you want to return or not every single offseason.

Say what he will but it's the truth, he retired because the Packers didn't get Moss. What a way to treat the organization, fans and team. That's giving the finger to the franchise right there.

Packers had a legit shot at Super Bowl contention without him, and in my eyes still would have this upcoming season. Oh well, less interceptions in big games for the Packers now, if Rodgers can take them there, of course.

Favre is a baby and an attention .
When you've put in the years and got the skins on the wall that Brett Favre has, you've earned the right to be a prima donna.

I could see Aaron Rodgers having Romo type success with the PT he's gonna be getting now.

That is what happens when a franchise is built around 1 player. Don't think Duncan won't pull this.

    NFC North dumb dumb.

And its got to be Kitna

He returned every year didnt he? And the year he did retire did he do it before the draft?

And you dont know about the Moss thing, so please stop pretending you do. He gave that franchise and those fans everything he had, and I dont know anyone who couldnt respect that.
And the Pack have no shot at a le without him.

he retired because the Packers didn't get Moss.
The Packers never had a chance to get Moss. Nobody did. He was going back to the Patriots regardless of whatever irresponsible reporting John Clayton was doing.

You think Favre was really going to retire just because the Packers didn't sign a receiver that they had literally zero percent chance of getting?

Two offseasons of Brett trying to force the Packers to cut him so he could go to a contender and not be viewed as the villain pretty much wore me out on retirement talk. The only upside of this is he at least had the courtesy not to draw it out over the whole summer. Of course, he'll probably sign with another team once training camp starts back up.

He's one of the best QBs of all time, and he's earned the right to be a prima donna, but in the end he's just a flake who'll take your team to the big game only to abandon the game plan and try to be a hero. It's a testament to the greatness of the team around him that won a super bowl in spite of that.
