How great would that be if we were tied for 1st place coming into that last regular season game!!!
And people forget the playoffs are a 7 game series. A whole other beast than the regular season. SAS has always been the type of team that can grind you out in the playoffs and eventually exert their will on you.

Let the media go nuts over the Lakers. Other than Kobe and Fisher that team has a load of unproven post-season players that has never won jack . Mavs won 67 games last year how did that work out for them???? Spurs are the best team, the most battle tested team, they fear nobody come playoff time and they will be ready for battle.

We are also second in Point Diff behind the Celtics @ 7.7....we're actually 13.4 since Gasol came on board but there's still a lot of games left and we're an unproven bunch even though we have Phil, Kobe, and Fish who went to the big dance.

The Spurs have a GOOD chance to take back the #1 seed. Spurs fans can rest in knowing that the Spurs dont NEED HCA...we've proven we can win series/championships without it!

Sure the Spurs have a CHANCE to take back the #1 seed, but the Lakers have the BETTER CHANCE to hold to that 1st seed given their easier schedule down the stretch and the fact they are going to utterly crush SA on April 13th.
The Spurs have proven time and time and time again that they can't repeat.
