As brutal as the Spurs' remaining schedule is, the Hornets' is actually worse.
20 left (9 H/11 A); 13 of the 20 against teams that would qualify for the playoffs if the season ended now; 6 more back-to-backs (including three straight to end the season); they have SA tonight, LA on Friday, Detroit on Sunday. Next week they have Houston and Boston at home and then start another Eastern trip that will take them through Indiana and Cleveland (b-2-b), at Boston, at Toronto, and at Orlando.
The Spurs can put 3 full games between them and the Hornets with a win tonight, because NO will be 2 back in the loss column and the Spurs will hold the tiebreaker.
