Pop has taken his obsession with old guards to new lows. Play Vaughn and hope for the best.

Somebody explain to me why we didn't grab boykins instead... If pop wanted a chucker, we may as well get him one.

This guy bears a scary resemblence to Nick Van Exel. And it's an even year too.
I hope to gott we don't have to have a poll: NVE in 2006 or Damon in 2008?

Stoudamire did well when he seemed focused on distributing the rock. Then Pop told him to shoot...

So how many assists would Steve Nash average under Pop again?

Probably not as many as he has under D&Tony's system.

I've always thought that the team would operate best with Tony having his score-first mentality, while his primary back-up having a more defensive-minded and passing mentality. Well, why does Pop want Damon to be a scorer? When, at his advanced age, he's obviously more suited to set-up Manu, Finley, Oberto, Udoka or (hopefully) Barry with open looks.

The hope will be that once the Spurs get back Barry into the fold that he can be counted on to take more of those perimeter shots with the 2nd unit and Pop will give Stoudamire the yellow light on his shot.

damon's not the problem, we were +9 when Bonner was in there and -16 when Fabs was in there. on the year, Fabs has the worst +/- of all the main Spurs except for Elson.

We gots ta bench that loser

That would leave the team with only two players that can man the pivot, Timmy and Thomas. I've never loved Oberto's great "positional defense" and would prefer a shot-blocker over him (only Timmy does that). But, he does proved a wide-body that has 6 fouls to despense, plus he's got great chemistry on the floor with Manu & Timmy.

When you can't play against the T-Wolves with a 20pt lead you know it's time to retire

    Stoudamire sucks big time

He was playing fine until Pop told him to shoot more. Now he looks done.
