Third picks are good.
Library Science.
I'm sticking with the library.
"Playboy" and "Male Escort" weren't options, so I went with my third pick.
Third picks are good.
Are you moving to Denton or do they have a satellite campus or correspondence option?
yeah, my niece lives up in Canoga Park and she wants to go far away. She's gonna major in engineering, however didn't apply to UT...which she should have since she would have family close by. She did get accepted to Miami University in Ohio and is waiting to hear from some school in WA.
However, Miami is gonna be major $$$, so I don't know if she will be going there.
I have to hang in Denton for a week or so, then I get to do the "Web Ins ute".
It's all done over the internets after you fulfill the residency requirments.
Good for you!![]()
How does that work? Do you just hang out at a hotel?
Oh, and congratulations to your son, duncan228.
I remember when I got accepted to Tulane .. which is where I was dying to go, and my mom said no ing way was she forking out the $$ for me to party non-stop in New Orleans. So, I didn't get to go ... those who sign the checks rule the world.![]()
UC riverside great school..
To a certain extent with us.
He's worked really hard to apply for every bit of financial aid he can.
He's got a job, he'll still have to work while he's in school.
But as long as he can put the pieces together he can go where he wants to as far as I'm concerned.
My only requirement is a good 4 year program.
Thanks for all the congrats.
It's so weird with ST.
I got big, good news, and after our immediate family, sharing it with ST was my first thought.
ST does feel like home to me and you guys are the large, extended, and sometimes strange family.![]()
I'm still waiting for Jimbo to pay off my husband's student loans.
They suck and we can't write off the interest unfortunately.

I have the option of staying at a hotel or at the dorms.
Hotel = $142 a night.
Dorm = $21.75 a night.
I'm going with the dorm.
I don't see anyway around my son coming out of college without the debt.
We sure don't have the money for it.
Even with (hopefully) some grant money, he'll need the loans.
I don't know anyone that didn't come out of college in debt.
It sucks, but it's the only way.
It won't be from me, most people here didn't even know I had a son.
, most still think I'm a guy.
This was big for me, I wanted to share.![]()
I remember my first case of The Clap 1301 like it was yesterday.
Congrats to the kiddo. Make sure that you tell him how proud you are, and that that pride, love, and support are now contigent upon him getting his degree in a timely fashion.
Yeah...his med school was private so obviously we had to borrow and then some in order to live...even though I had a job, but we all know how pricey San Francisco is. Plus, he deferred them for 3 years, so that didn't help.
But, he looks at them as an investment in his future...otherwise we'd be depressed![]()
Oh yes, debate is an excellent choice for Peewee!
God help the coeds of Denton!!!![]()
I didn't know what to do with myself when I paid my last one off.![]()
I am so excited for my nephew (maybe moreso for his parents)- he was notified this week that he was awarded a full tuition, fees, books, room, and board scholarship for a five year Bachelor/Master's program at a Catholic university. It is worth at least $150,000 at today's rates.
Major Kudos!!![]()
