I'm not really sure what you mean by that but Barry doesn't come in and take over a game or anything...
But he does spread the defense, he's one of the best PCT shooters in NBA history, and while that may not mean much to you, it means something to opposing coaches. He stretches the defense, big time.
Beyond that, he moves the ball quickly and smartly, and either attempts himself or tries to get other guys cheap open baskets, and it is often contagious with his teamates......it's like the tires of you car being out of alingment and getting them realigned. He's good for our offense. We don't have too many stagnant periods when he is on the court, and we have had alot of them since he went out. On top of that, he's a good chemistry guy who keeps things light.
It may seem like I am rationalizing, but when he came here our ball movement improved considerably...we've been winning les regularly since he's been here, and he's part of the reason, even if he doesn't chuck the ball every chance he gets.
