Agreed.
And I loooove that RBF cover, cuckingfunt.
Ministry - Lay lady Lay, originally by bob dylan

Across The Universe - Fiona Apple
Not just a great cover, a great video.
If you saw the film "PLEASANTVILLE," you will remember the footage.
That's not true. Michael Jackson did a great cover of "Come Together" and - while I may be tied to it sentimentally thanks to it being the theme to The Wonder Years ... Oh that Winnie Cooper - er's cover of "With a Little Help From My Friends" was very good.
Wainwright has an amazing voice and I love his songs in moderation, but his voice can whine at times and then annoys me.
Chris Cornell has a unique cover of Billie Jean that's pretty good. It's great until the chorus, but his arrangement is a bit of a let down. He doesn't even show off his pipes.
Orgy's cover of Blue Monday was great. I loved the original and loved the cover more.
Didn't Manson cover Tainted Love? I swear I heard it and thought it was great.
Cash with Hurt and Personal Jesus.
I really like Velvot Relvolver's cover of Psycho Killer.
Sublime has a great live cover of Sunday Bloody Sunday.
Jeff Buckley's cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah"
BLASPHEMOUS!!!
That Holy Diver cover sounds just like the original but with inferior vocals.
the gladiator's cover of soul rebel is badass.
hallelujah
peter tosh covering johnny b goode on the captured live album is also choice:
Easy Star All-Stars cover of the entire Dark Side of the Moon album is fantastic.
That Killswitch cover sucks donkey balls. Mine as well put Disturbeds Shout cover on this list then.
Fiona Apples Across The Universe, Cash's Hurt, Dillinger Escape plans cover of Come To Daddy By the Aphex twins, Deftones covering The Smiths Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want, Muse covering House Of The Rising Sun, Nirvana's Man Who Sold The World, Rage Against The machine's Ghost Of Tom Joad and How I Could Just Kill A Man.
Does it count as a cover when one of the originals is also singing?
Mmmmmm....Alison
/Sarņ in mia cuccetta
Also, if it counts, I'd put the Brian Setzer Orchestra's arrangements of old Stray Cats stuff on the list.
Also the version of "You're the Boss" that he did with Gwen Stefani.
I don't agree my friend but fair enough.
But I do agree about Rufus. I will roll through all of his cd's during a day loving what I hear and then cannot tolerate him again for a time.
I grew up with my dad being a massive Beatles fan so I have heard it my entire life so it is very hard for me to think anything compares after so long.
And I am a fan today.

You know what...I have never heard that before. That's quality.
Ok so two people can do it IMO.
I love Fiona Apple, but that's just too droning. It's good, but just too droning and muddled to be much more than a one-time listen for me.
Wainwright's was much better. Much.
I was going to embed the Wainwright cover, but I can't YouTube as disabled the link. Sucks. I just watched it for the first time in a while and realized Fanning was the little girl with the red balloon.
Was going to embed this one as well. Disabled again...
Rufas Wainwright's same cover... Not near as good, but quality
