the worst batch of Sam Adams is far superior than the best batch of Shiner.
I went to a Stars/Avs game back when they played at Reunion and the only people standing in line at the Sam Adams cart were wearing Avs gear. Not sure what the significance of that is, just thought I'd throw it out there...

I flew to Denver for an Avs game this winter and I can say one thing - the Pepsi Center concourse trumps the out of the AT&T center concourse... more options for food and stuff that I've ever seen in my life. I thoroughly enjoyed checking out the arena (the interior wasn't as nice IMO, though).
ha ha
It took awhile to Sam Adams to make it's way to Texas.
I saw that Sam Adams operation on some Food Network show Mrs. ASF was watching. Unwrapped I think? There is NO WAY IN that little ass brewery kicks out all that beer. No freaking way.
It is a tiny pace isn't it? Amazing.
Damn good beer....but awful for ya. Even the light beer is bad and thats all I drink. Nothing better than a nice Sam Adams light about 1 degree from being frozen.
I'll have to try it sometime. I must admit I've never had one.
Sam Adams will beat the out of the best batch of almost any beer I can think of.![]()
the sauce is great at salt lick, but i've had my share of dry old brisket there. i'll take sams bbq on east 12th for brisket anyday.
if it has to be that cold, it can't be that good.![]()
and yes, i'm a beer snob.
I had hot & y szechuan beef for lunch. Been on the ter all afternoon...![]()
The Brady lunch

You'll stink up the john after
The Brady lunch
The colder it is the better it is. It is pure beer drinking greatness.
?
Why is that?
Rich flavored beers simply tend to taste better cold.
Red wine tastes batter warm, white better cold. Just the way it is.
, when I'm short on beer funds, I drink Schlitz. That DEFINTELY tastes better cold. And, no, I'm most definitely NOT a beer snob!

cold can kill flavor in richly flavored beers - closer to room temperature, the more flavor. light beers are more tolerable when ice cold.

The first thing that should be addressed, however, are two very common myths. The first is that beer needs to be served very cold. The macrobrewers want you to believe this, and here’s why. The sensation of coldness inhibits the tongue’s taste receptors. Since macrobrews started positioning their products based on any feature they could imagine besides taste, the need to neutralize taste became important. An alcohol delivery system doesn’t need taste. In fact, taste usually gets in the way. A cold refresher could be anything, and in fact alternatives like soda, iced tea or water generally have a less offensive taste than macrobrew. So again, numbing those tastebuds is important. As for what beer marketers mean when they say a beer “has a cold taste”, your guess is as good as ours. So no, beer doesn’t not need to be near frozen. Good beer in fact should not be near frozen.
I just like cold beer and soft drinks. Cannot stand them warm.
Just give it a try, tell me what you think.

Where the is San Saba?
Where did you go to school, and where were you from? I used to drive through Mason and Brady quite often going between Abilene and McAllen, and if I was passing through Mason early enough I'd stop at Coopers Pit BarBQ and get some brisket and bread for sandwiches.
If I ever find out who you are and where you live, I'm going to be left with no choice but to kill you and your family.
You guys ever been to Mikeska's in El Campo, TX?
Great BBQ there.
That was always a must stop on my way to Houston from the Valley and back.
