    He's been a good player since he came into the league.
    I didn't say he hasn't been, but look at the improvement the last two months and tell me it doesn't remind you of Erick Dampier his last year in Oakland.

    Let's hope Austin left him with a good impression of south central Texas.

    Ouch! Cold but accurate. Players that "explode' during the last year of their contract are suspect. Is it real and sustainable or ?

    And that would be a good stat to dig up - the percentage of improvement in a players game during the final year of their expiring contract.

    Find out if they got the big bucks then..........

    Follow it up with their performace over the next couple of years. Measure if the player's performance continued to improve or fell back to their previous level prior to the "big" contract they were awarded.

    Should be interesting.
