I kind of enjoyed TNT's lineup of:
- Marv Albert + Steve Kerr
- Kevin Harlan + Doug Collins
The Stockton + Marv Fratello combo sucked ass
JVG is pretty funny, but Mark Jackson can get really annoying. Nothing about their disagreement during the game seemed like legitimately heated exchange.

becasue you are jealous and have no life. I already know why you watch all the Spurs game and post here in a Spur forum. I love the fact that you hate the Spurs so much and obsess about them. They are annoying as . I am trying to watch a basketball game and they wont stop bickering like 5 year olds. Get me some damn comentators who get along for christ's sake. I dont think its cute or funny or anything.
JVG and Mark Jackons are pretty damn good. JVG especially. I love that he's not afraid to bag on current and former players and coaches. I loved how he called out Allen Houston for blowing the defense on the AJ shot in '99. I kind of felt bad for Houston.
I am a huge fan of Jeff Van Gundy. I think he's the best analyst on TV right now. I don't think he'll stay in the booth for long, however. And Mike Breen is the perfect foil for him, and he actually manages to make Mark Jackson seem witty and quick. Pretty amazing.
I'm also a big Hubie fan. But I can't stand Doug Collins. He is Major Obvious -- he outranks Captain Obvious. I've almost never heard him say anything that surprised me or made me think.
yeah its hard for me to overcome the urge to slit my wrists whenever i have to listen to Mark Jackson. He may know alot about basketball, but he comes off like a loud fan that loves dunks and no defense.
I hate how he calls Tim "The Scientist". Yeah yeah I get why he calls him that but it sounds so boring and I'm thinking he calls him that because of that reason as well.
I like JVG because of his insight and he calls it like he sees it. No fear of upsetting anyone. Mark J on the otherhand is somewhat boring. His voice is much too monotoned for broadcasting. He needs to inject some life into it. He plods along and puts me to sleep, though I liked his analysis of the Stackhouse/manu incident recently. He called it what we all thought it to be - dirty play by Stack.
What's with "The operation was a success but the paitent died" I cringe everytime Marc Jackson says it. It's stupid Marc Jackson, you're better than that!
what was it that JVG said the other week that he didnt like for players to do. He didnt like them to celebrate a certain play or something like that. he said it "makes you look emotionally drunk"
