Seriously? The Mavs were shooting for the win at the end 4 weeks ago in S.A. and 2 weeks ago you won by 7 and Dirk was out the last 20 minutes of the game?
It's the best Matchup in the NBA. These 2 teams are as even as can be. It would be yet another GREAT series. I hope if happens!

actually, the spurs were losing, and then they started coming back, and were up by about seven when dirk went down.
but they went on a 19-0 run, or something like that WHILE dirk was in.

True. Harris was one of the few guards in the league that could actually give Tony fits at the PG position. He could also break down the Spur defense regularly with drives to the hoop and great shooting. Now that Kidd is running the Dallas offense it seems bogged down and the players seem out of sorts at times. So I agree, any chance the Mavericks
had of beating San Antonio in a series if they should meet went by the wayside when Harris was traded.
Yes i understand Dirk was in there for most of the run but he did not play the last 20 minutes. ARe you saying that it would not have mattered if he was in there the last 20 minutes? That's like saying it would not have matter if Duncan was not in there. Just stupid.
And thats another MYTH about Harris too. Yeah he defended Parker very well over the years but check these numbers for Parker since Harris has been gone:

I'm pretty sure the Spurs were down 1 when Dirk went down, and Duncan scored on the play to put the Spurs up by 1.

parker will play just fine come playoff time; and personally, i hope i can say the same about kidd. as much as i would love to sweep y'all, it just wouldn't be the same as having a good series - where we win.
basically y'all have two choices:
a. y'all play crappy and we sweep you, or
b. y'all play well (give the nba a good/entertaining series) and we beet y'all in six.
that's not to mention trading diop, the main body y'all had to put up against duncan.
duncan has ALWAYS been a monster in the playoffs; now without diop?
lets just say, id hate to be a mavs fan during that series.
