The Original SW owns all. If it was LOTR vs New SW trilogy then LOTR all the way but classic SW is untouchable.
I felt compelled to vote for my student but the sexyness that is Gandalf swayed my vote.
I voted for the first Star Wars because it's the only one of all those films that I have seen. And I really didn't like it that much.

LOL This thread is about LOTR or SW, so you can just not take into consideration HP.

Oh and I've read each one of the LOTR books at least 5 times. I used to read them every 6 months. Did that for about 3 years. Yeah, I'm a loser.
If you are talking movies compared to movies the only real contest is LOTR and SW. I voted SW because I grew up with them. But the LOTR movies were fantastic as well as the books entrancing.
Now, I love the HP books, but the movies are just really pathetic.
All of those trolls have 0 posts and were created just for the sake of this poll. Its pretty pathetic but hey if you have the time I guess.
Stars Wars and it aint even close.
But at least Draco Malfoy, Albus Dumbledore, and Dolores Umbridge voted for LOTR....

Seriously, who actually enjoyed sitting through all 29 hours of the LOTR trilogy?
The extended editions were actually 9 + hours and I enjoy it.
The Star Wars together are 12 hours and I enjoy those as well.
edit: Although the last 6 hours of SW are better than the first 6....
IMO the LOTR movies had WAAAAAY better acting (with the exceptions of the Sam and Frodo scenes... I swear, by the end of the movie I was "oh just ing make out already and put us out of our missery." Brokeback Hobbits anyone?), not to mention they came from the fantasy masterpieces that are the Hobbit and The LOTR trilogy books. Star Wars was revolutionary in terms of special effects. When they came out nobody had EVER seen ANYTHING like it. It was incredible. Having said that, the acting I thought was pretty bad with only a few exceptions really.
I am a HUGE fan of the LOTR books and movies. I'm also a huge fan of the Star Wars story, which is unbelievable, considering the last three movies had some of the most excruciatingly bad acting I've ever had the misfortune of witnessing. I don't know what the happened to Lucas in the span between Episode 6 and Episode 1, but the dialogue couldn't get much cornier or the casting more atrocious. I mean this dude made excrement out of great actors.
I did. Friends and I do like that on weekends all the time. , over a summer break one year, we marathoned all 6 SW, all 3 extended LOTR, all 5 Omen movies, the first seasons of G1 Transformers and Beast Wars, and the first and third seasons of Dragon Ball Z.
I'm willing to bet, although we all know you won't pay up, that Supreme_Being is the one that created all those Trolls.
He probably jacks to Daniel Radcliff (or whatever the his name is) on a nightly basis.
I'm a big fan of the LOTR films, but I still maintain that they are second to SW.
Lord of the Rings. I have never seen Star Wars or Harry Potter. But I have no interest in those movies whatsoever.
